I would love to go, and this would have been a great trip to get my wife more involved with Jeeping, but I've got tickets to NASCAR. I hope you post another trip soon after this one.

From the sounds of things this trip start and end at the same trail location. Is this the case? I ask because I would rather tow my junk than drive it any real distance on the highway. I may join the gang if us 4 wheeldrive station wagons are invited.

yay! count me in! one more station wagon to go :D
maybe my friend Kevin will come and ride shotgun (snicker) since his TJ wouldn't make it last time due to, and still unrepaired, clutch problems? (or was it his driving technique, hmmmmm) ;)
this is an excellent trail with a variety of stuff, in a backcountry/mountain setting, and you couldn't have a more knowledgable host :)

Has anyone run the actual back way to MT. Ord or I should say the original road? It starts at the bottom of the canyon just north of the summit, (where the road starts now.), but the wash has washed it out. I have been up that road many times in the old days. there used to be a mining town right there where the south bound lanes come down to the creek. That road hits the new one way up on the side of the Mountain before you go around to the east side.

I ran it in May 2007, no significant problems. Some ruts and one or two small rockey ledges. A stock jeep can make it.

OK, put me down as tentative with one other Jeep. I need to get some work done on the Jeep before I go out. If that happens, I will be there.
Anyone meeting at the Bush Highway turnoff?

I am coming from East Mesa and will be at the large staging area at the 4 peaks road at about 8am. If you are joining me, look for a blue Dodge truck with a red XJ in tow.
Hope to see some of you there. From a PM with Samdog it sounds like we will be on Ch 4.
