why do they love to get in my jeep and pi$$ all the time? No matter where I park they find my jeep and mark it. I clean it up and they come right after me and stink it up again. Any ideas how to get them to stop? I'm looking for a cab cover, so that'll help. Is there some kinda spray I can get that'll deter them? Should I get a trap and keel them...(j/k)...dump them in a far off location?
Hire a midget ninja to sit in my jeep and go midget kung-fu on 'em. Is there one of those electric pest deterrent devices that works for cats? Anyone else have any ideas?

The best thing I've found to make cats run away is a good old squirt bottle. Hit em with a squirt of water and 99% of them will vacate the area at light speed! If you could find some way to rig an automatic device like that, problem solved. Hey, get the midget to hide in or near the Jeep with a squirt gun!

I put my Springer Spaniel in mine for 2 nights. He loved me for it (he was a little red around the muzzle) and now whines to sleep in the YJ again. Haven't seen any cats within my 1 block radius for a month and a half now. Maybe you could borrow a friends dog for a couple of nights.

Put a tarp over the cab and strap it down tight. Then they can't get in. Or keep it in a garage like I do. Try Fabreeze or Petzyme to get the smell out.

Some one told me that mothballs work

But then again it will smell like a granny's Jeep

you need to COMPLETELY remove the urine using an enzyme type cleaner... Nature's Magic from petsmart has worked very well for me. Find the spots they are urinating on and soak the hell out of them. The enzyme will break down the urine proteins and remove the smell. Once the smell is completely gone; neighborhood cats will be less inclined to "mark" your Jeep.

By the way... cats HATE snakes... to keep cats off of my formal chairs, I place realistic looking rubber snakes on the chairs. The cat jumps up; sees the rubber snake and has a living **** fit trying to get away as quickly as possible.
Maybe a rubber snake or two or three will work?

Finally, there is a "cat away" spray (pepper based) that you can use... cats HATE the smell and won't hang around anything with the smell on it. When you first apply it, you can smell it also but the smell diminishes fairly quickly.

There you have it... perhaps the combination of these things will help your jeep not smell like it came from the planet Urineus :D

One roll of duct tape. Cut 4 inch long sections and place about dozen or more section all over your seats. Make an a accurate count the night before. If you come out the next day and there are less? Laugh all day.

Both Joe and Hunter have excellent ideas, and even the duct tape is humane, although impractical. I'm a cat lover, and our cats are kept in a cat secure area. We don't allow them to visit neighbors, so no issue on what might happen in the outside world. I do know that most people who own cats, can't do this, so please be considerate when dealing with other peoples pets.

I have the same problem here, as the lady behind me feeds every stray she can find! They dig in my flower beds, and get in my jeep if I leave the top off or a window open. We have 2 cats, but they are "inside" cats and never get out. I tried talking to the lady, but she looks at me like I'm stupid. She does take them and gets them fixed, but I guess I'll have to start "fixing" them too.

I won't hurt any cats. I'm not a cat lover, but not a cat hater either. I have a bottle of diluted bleach water I was using to clean up. They always spray in the footwell, and I've removed the carpet long before the cats for easier cleanup. Thanks for the suggestions!, I'll give them a try till I find a cab cover and get it here.

HAHAHAHA...I thought there was gonna be pictures of cute kitties in your Jeeps...honestly I had problems with this in Phx, my cat now likes to sleep in the Jeep to escape the cold so he doesn't piss in it. I thinkt he values the Jeep as it is.

We have a different kind of cat up here. I tried mothballs and they ate them! Didn't seem to affect them either.

At the station we had a heck of a time with stray cats... Then a Pitbull came into the bays one day, we gave her some water and some dinner and then realized for the four days she hung out the cats were mysteriously gone?! Hmmmm  We eventually got ahold of her owner and she was gone. It was some time befor ethe cats came back. I am an animal lover but they sprayed the hell out of my foot wells too. I think the duct tape would be a good idea, or you could get one of those battery operated/motion activated toys from Target/Walmart. Leave it on the seat and then everytime they jump in it will start up and sing(whatever it does) and scare them off. Only after you Petzyme the trouble areas or other wise they will keep coming around! Good luck...

Catch them in the act and pee on them. It'll freak the cat out enough that it won't come back for awhile.

It's always frustrating when you have to deal with other people's pet negligence. People who let their pets roam free don't deserve them.

At any rate, I was going to say put a little tasty bowl of antifreeze in your Jeep at night...

But then I found something more appropriate...

Checkout this link...you can trap them and then call animal control (or something similar).
