Does anyone on here own or work in a machine shop that can do small scale aluminum parts? Specifically CNC machining. I'm looking to get some small 2.2" sized RC wheels machined out of 6061 for a custom project. Looking to get one set of 4 or maybe more if I can get a few more people on board.
Let me know if you can or know anyone that would like to try this. THANKS!

I have a friend with a milling machine who does stuff like this. I have seen him make quite a few different pieces from aluminum. I think he's done RC wheels before also. He does this mainly as a hobby/side work at his home - he inherited the milling machine, a metal lathe, plasma cutter, some welders and other tools when his father passed away a few years ago. He does some nice work, but I don't know what kind of time frame to expect. I'll ask him and get back to you.

Thanks! Time doesn't matter as I'm still parting things together. I can supply material if needed, or unless he can match material price I'll let him get it. just have him e-mail me if ya would - zeroauthority @ gmail .com - Thanks!

I can sure try, I can draw pretty much anything on the CAD program I have but right now we are only equipped to machine plastic and aluminum... MOSTLY plastic but I'm experimenting.. (scary) Gussets will probably be the first thing I try machining. I also have a 2'by4' plate of 1/4" steel in my garage that me and andrew have been welding and screwing around with but doesn't have any definite purpose yet.. So if you need or want some of it let me know

I know some of the guys I work with could make anything you want but if I can do it odds are it will be free or VERY cheap... (price-wise) :)
