So after work today Andy and I went to Turtle falls again because I wanted to see how my new tires would climb with 10lbs of air in them. I made a stupid mistake and gave it to much gas and sent the front into wheel hop and when I did that I broke my drivers front axle shaft at the u joint . I know better then to let the axle start hopping but I let it anyway and broke it......I guess thats what I get for being a dumbars:rolleyes:
the bright side is I got some carnage picks:D

Maybe there is a second run curse! because this was my second run to. And the joint and shaft are stock.
.....................and Bob, you should have been there to supervise us, see what happens
.........................imagine what I would have done if I had a RedBull before we went out! :D

As we had discussed at an earlier meeting, you are not allowed to have
Red Bull before wheelin' because of the holocaustic like carnage that
would transpire!

Looks like it's time to UPGRADE! When you break it, you should quit romping on it, that yoke looks like it went a few miles before you disengaged your front diff.
Speaking of upgrades, what have you guys got in a beefy tie rod? :o Firebird did more damage on Hyjak than Ruler did yesterday....

I didn't romp on it at all after it broke, as soon as I heard the snap I stopped. I don't want to tear up my stuff by smashing the gas and blowing stuff up. I left the front axle engaged long enough to get to the end of the rocks in the wash and then put it in 2 wheel as soon as I could. The joint got a little more busted up as the 2 parts of the axle shaft hit one another when I turned. I didn't take the pics of the shafts and u-joint until I got back to the shop so by then they were more busted up and beaten looking(it matches the rest of the jeep now:)).
I'll get Andy to PM you a price on something to beef up your tie rod first thing monday, thats something I want to do to mine to:D
