I have a 98 XJ with rear limited slip. I would like a traction control device in the front and can't afford an ARB like I would like. Does anybody have an opinion on the Lock Right for the front?

I have it and love it, super easy to install, you do not need to know how to do gears, but as long as your mechanically inclined, and know how to read the installation instructions, you will be fine.

I only have one trip on my Lock Right and I like it. Cheap and easy to install. Once it's in there, don't really need to worry about it.

Sounds good. I am an ex mechanic so it shouldn't be a problem on the install.

Do it, it will click, but be virtually undetectable when in 2WD.

If your looking for something between now and your final build, the lock rite is a good choice.

We just got done with Cronohs front lock rite an hour ago andI think it was pretty simple... Now I could do it in a snap! Wanna do mine next weekend. Let me know if you need a hand, while its all fresh in my mind.

I've got a 98 TJ with an automatic trans. I've got lock rights front and rear. I like it. They say you need stronger axles with the lockers. I ran stock axles for a long time. The automatic is a big sponge for the throttle. I had Absolute put Alloy USA axles in the front just for extra stregnth and take the worry about being close.

The only main thing to worry about is loosing some steering ability in slick conditions and when you have a lot of traction like on broken arrow the drive train really binds up. Make sure you use the heavier oil like 90-120W.
