have you looked at the pepboys trailer lights?
like the sunken round ones?
should have led's
then just change out the lense to a clear acrylic.
not perfect but it should work.
other than that is call around to make a a truck or fleet truck supplier.

Boat stores are a great resource for marine grade(completely sealed) LEDs...

Just giving you hard time. :D
I looked around for a flush mounted reverse light and couldn't find anything that I thought would work too well, plus bright ones are expensive. Like Lance said, those cheap fog lights are tough to beat.

Yes:D If you aim it right, it would be fine. Tuck it up under the rear bumper.

would you just throw a switch in between the the fuse box and the first back up light

You know the purple and black wire...
just add a switch to those wires. to turn them on for night crawlin.
I can show you were a good place to do it.. so you dont have to run wire all way from the back to the cab.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you go with LEDs that since they have such a low current draw that a relay should not be needed.
