You need to change your speedo gear. Its a pretty easy swap.

Here's a link to Stu's website with a write up on how its done.

We stock most of the popular speedo gear replacements. Post up your gear ratio and I will look it up for you. Thanks :)

I got mine from 4 Wheelers for cheap and installed in in ten minutes in the parking lot of a car wash...really easy. I suggest going to 4 wheelers because they helped me by telling me to clock it correctly. I even said I knew what I was doing, good thing they explained the install anyways:) Basically there is a little dot that you have to line up for different speedo gears, I think there are 3 different positions depending which gear you need.

Go to 4wheelers, tell them the number that matches up with your tire size/gear ratio and throw it in. I can do it for you. It takes like 2min.

Assuming they are factory gears. A co-worker just put 33s on his recently purchased '93 Wrangler 4 banger, and we had to determine what gears were in it. I had him drive 60 MPH in 4th gear (1:1 ratio) and tell me what RPM he was turning so I could figure out his gear ratio. Turns out he has 4.88s in it. Made me jealous.

Oh, by the way here's the formula:
Gear ratio = (RPM x tire dia) / (MPH x trans ratio x 336)

You don't need to know how fast you are going, like Joe said, your rig is unsafe at any speed...:D

My plan is a GPS with a large display for the MPH.

As I currently have 33" tires and plan to go to 35 or 37, and in the future that could change again this seems a good idea to me.

I use my GPS for that, fortunately, when I put the 35's on Hyjak, the speedometer is only slightly off with the 4:88 gears.
