when you are searching for the np241 that is in the rubicons search for NP241OR... there are various different np241 out there for dodges and chevy with different ratios (2:71) and different spline count but I think the 4:1 that is in the rubicons is only available as the np241OR

and the np241or comes from the factory without a slip yoke so that is essentially the same as it having a slip yoke eliminator. But you will still need a CV driveshaft.

also check with 4 wheelers Supply... I always see a bunch of tcases on their shelves in the show room there but havn't really looked at them to see if any are np241or.

I think I remember someone found one on craigslist not long ago from a low mileage rubicon.

*edit: also just found this but they probably want an arm and a leg for them...

One question you asked, that has not been answered, is the ease of the swap. Remember that the 241R is a bigger case that may not fit into your current skid configuration, depending on year of your TJ. The drivers side drop is bigger than with a 231.

I just put a teralow in my 231 and am pretty happy with it and its alot cheaper then going with an atlas or 241. You can get them for around 700 and you get to keep your current driveshafts if you already have a sye.

With the the RK skid, the correct BL and an appropriate tranny mount, I'm sure you could find the correct combo. It may merely take the RK skid and a BL/MML to fit the case or you may need to play with the height of the tranny mount, as well. The factory 01 skid would be too shallow, in its stock form to work. Your mounting of the xfer case with the factory skid would require some modifications.;)
