Another motley crue ran Upper Woody and Upper Ajax today. We managed to get about 7 bags of crap left over from the Subaru burn. After a slow start, we nailed just about everything on Woody and then proceeded to make Upper Ajax our stepchild.

These two guys were taking a romantic drive through the desert (he said he'd log on and check out the pics, I told him I was gonna give him crap :) )
and the road was washed out. They had walked probably at least a mile, the first thing I remember was the empty water jug

Anyways we rollup to where they are stuck and pull them back onto the road

So what happend to Mikes Jeep that he bent his exhaust pipe and rear shock? Did he do that backing up or did he break something? Looks like you guys had a good time today wish I could've made it but the front end of my jeep is on jack stands.

You've wheeled with Mike before haven't you ? He's kinda "special" ;):D

Nah, J/K, he was backing up after getting on some ugly line coming up that "bee fall". The fall was cool today, dry, we all ran the line right up the center.

"Subaru burn?" Is that what happened to the Firehole? Looks like someone burned something in there.

Just wondering.

Yeah there was a car in there a couple of weeks ago. A couple of guys off the Undertakers board pulled it out last week, but they did it at night and weren't able to get everything. We got most of it, but I'm sure there is still some crap left over.

Good Job cleaning up guys!

Wish I could have been there but I couldn't pass up making $35 an hour to walk around and watch Native Americans dance. I can still hear the drums beating. Boom Boom Boom Boom! Boom Boom Booom Boom! And I'll be doing the same tomorrow. It's a tough job but somebody has got to do it.:D

Boom Boom Boom Boom! Boom Boom Boom Boom!

Yeah, I'm wondering how my "wings" would do on that obstacle.... Not that I ever get over to that side of town for wheeling.

The Sally comment hurts Rich.:p

I figured that since everyone else was making the firehole without winching, someone had to get stuck. I sacrificed myself for the greater good!;)

I had a good time time guys, thanks for coming.

Good times yesterday. But my arms are sore from hacking off Mike's tailpipe :D Those guys we rescued are lucky in 2 ways. A - they didn't roll down the side of the hill, and B - that Mike got stuck, otherwise we would have been off the trail before they found us.

I can't wait to print these out and plaster them all over my office :D:D:D:D I just so happen to work with these two. The owner of the Jeep is Rob and his copilot is Doug. They are really good friends of mine. Rob had told me they were going to check out the mine this weekend but my tires are bald so I wasn't able to join them. They are darn lucky that you guys ran across them. Thanks for rescuing them. Rob should be on sometime to comment. He called me this morning and told me to look up the thread

I take it the Subaru was stolen.....

Man, that's sad if that's the case. Obviously one of our fellow wheelers not only doesn't care about getting an entire area closed, but is also a damn thief.

Yeah , I mentioned the first time I ran those two trails was with you & Bruce. I wondered where you've been. I can't say much though since this was the first time I've been out in a while. I forgot how much fun it is.
Thanks to Brian & Rich for the invite. I had a great time out there. Also thanks to Rich for bringing the garbage bags so we could clean up the Firehole.

Sorry Bryan, fixed it for ya !

Hey, is your Jeep working or are you having some locker issues ?

Hey, is your Jeep working or are you having some locker issues ?

Thanks Rich, that sounds much more poetic!

The jeeps be down since the marathon. The ECTED is making a bunch of noise when engaged, which if it is like last time means that the driver side splines on both the shaft and locker are stripped.
4wheelers has been trying to get a hold of Auburn for the warranty work, but they haven't been having any luck since Auburn won't answer the phone or call them back.:banghead:

Once the locker's taken care of, I've got a couple of other things that I need to do (check spark plugs, find leak in tcase, and swap tranny again) then I'll be ready to roll!
