Anyone Intrested in a run on Sunday the 28th? I was thinking squeeze or something around there! just did sycamore on last sunday and that was fun but want something a bit harder than that! I have run sqeeze twice and love it so i would be up for doing it again. I can lead sqeeze but if anyone has other ideas i would be up for anything!

If not i might be able to go on sunday....

I'm down for a Saturday night run, but my rig (look in my sig) can only handle like 3.0, MAYBE 3.5 with many attempts and some good spotting and me not gettign nervous and being unable to control the vehicle :D

Too cold for night run, :o

I'm looking for a little shakedown run Saturday or Sunday, don't matter, just not at night, prefer FJ.

Holy crap, you still have your Jeep :D

I seen the other post about TM, not sure I'm up for that again, Lance is crazy and everytime I wheel with him I break something.

I was seriously thinking of doing something a bit more tame. Besides, TM adds about 3 hours to my play time and the wife is borderline psycho with all the Jeep stuff I've been doing lately.

What do you want to run ?

I'm looking to get out on Sunday at FJ. I was thinking about doing H2H. Any takers?

Nice. For a minute there I thought it might be a yellow Sport ;)

You available Saturday ? Just visiting ? Ran these before ?

I might just get out both days this weekend, JD's math got me thinking........

TheJeepGuy
10-23-2007, 09:47 PM
Nope, no Barbie Jeep here.

I'm not available on Saturday, Sunday only. I recently moved here and now I'm in Queen Creek...nice & close to FJ. I've run quite a few trails out there, but not everything...yet ;) I've done upper woodpecker, UA, Martinez, Elvis, Box, Coke, and that's about it in FJ. I've wanted to do H2H for years now, pretty much every time I pass by it after UW. That and Xtacy are on my tick list out there.

Yeah, I hear you. I'd like to get out but don't want to break before Moab.
Something a little more tame sounds good to me. Ajax? or Whatever.
Thanks for the tip on the Bighorn lodge. We changed our reservations & saved $120.

hey george!!! i talked to you a bit, i was the dark red jeep about 3 in front of you. yea sure lets run squeeze on sunday. and chris sure you can come squeeze is a little difficult with out at least one locker but it can be done with some spotting, 2 inches of lift might have some scrapping but i don't think there will be any damage. what time works best for you guys i can do when ever. i will be out of town till sat night so if i don't respond right away that is why. I was thinking 9 am or 10 am it worked well last weekend.

any more are welcome to come!!!

9:30 sounds great!!! shnipe it would be great if you could come also.

looking at it last weekend it looks like we will have to go past the entrance because of the construction on 87 but we will just come back to it.

I have never tried the bypass of the water hole but we will see what it looks like!

TanTJJim
10-25-2007, 12:53 PM
I might try to make it out there if there's room. I'm trying to convince a friend to come too. He's stock on 31's, I have taken him out there and we made it to the mud hole and turned around. If the mud hole is passable I know we could do the rest of the trail and if not we'll have to turn around but I'm familiar with the area. Do you guys mind if we come too?

The trail rating said: Squeeze Rock (3.5 - 4.5), but maybe that's only if you have a big mud pit.

I'd like to meet at the airdown spot...is it the same as last Sunday's Sycamore Creek run?

thanks!

TanTJJim
10-25-2007, 07:01 PM
There are alot of different lines through Squeeze from mild to wild. If the mud hole is filled with water the bypass is pretty crazy. I just turn around if the mud hole is too bad. There are a couple pictures in the trails section, you should check them out. What's your setup?

The airdown spot is at the entrance to Sycamore creek not Sugarloaf mountain which was the airdown last Sunday. Sycamore is where we came out last week.

The pics are what got me interested. The trails section doesn't clarify why it's sometime 3.5 and sometimes 4.5.

I didn't want to show up "under-equipped"...especially after reading a 12 page thread on that topic....

I'm setup pretty good for most 3.5 trails, but I can dig to china in deep sand. :D

If I was paying attention I would have caught that:rolleyes: I think the 4.5 part of the rating is the bypass around the mud hole and some of the very optional lines. If the mud hole is clear you can take a stock tj through the whole trail if they're not too afraid of damage, you'll be fine. If YJunk comes out just don't take the lines he does:)

its not 3.5 some times and 4.5 others. its 3.5 AND 4.5 all the time depending on the lines you take. I could get you pretty jacked up on some lines if you wanted but most people like ot take the easy lines.

Junky is probably busy working. Hes been workin on lining up more work to pay for his pretty atlas. I think it should be broken in. Ill give him a ring.

Jim you needed to go a little more passenger on that on "jk" looks like you almost made that left line. How was the water hole?

I was riding the rock face hard on the drivers side, it was definitely the right line. The problem was the rock that my passenger rear tire was on was slick and at an angle. If I went up it any further it would have slid and my passengers door would have met the rock in a bad way. If I had tires just a little bigger and some more protection on my rockers I think I'd be good. Next time....

kemolewis
10-29-2007, 04:03 PM
You are correct Jim that was the right line and that is exactly what you do and then use your door as a pivot unless you can ride it even higher like John did when we went out there
