Hi,
New to AZVJC. I Bought a 96 XJ to replace my Nissan Pathfinder which wasn't up to some of the rougher roads encountered while out teaching my son and his friend to drive and benchmark hunting. Mostly a forest road, two track kind of wheeler.
That was a year ago, took about 9 months to get the motor rebuilt and put RE lift parts from Desert Fab and a bastard pack together with some 31's and finally took it out a few weeks ago. Still have a TNT frame brace to put on.
Many more items on the list to go but no budget yet - drop brackets, gears, lockers, skids, diff covers, blah, blah, blah. I'm sure you all know how that goes.

Welcome to the AZVJC, and the XJ's are the the best all round versatile vehicle to date, in my opinion. I like them so much, I have 2, 96 and 98.

Ok, pics or ban. I get it. I only have a couple of poser pictures from a post-lift install shakedown run out past 99th Ave and Jomax.
There's a bunch of engine rebuild pictures here:

Wow, thats a pretty nice XJ! Thank god my wife doesn't look at this site, after looking at your garage she would ask me why you can keep it cleaner than I do :-)

Thanks! Since it's a carport it's more a question of keep it somewhat clean or have it all stolen! Still, she did get tired of the table full of junk, old springs and other engine parts laying around by the front door when her painting friends were coming over (what's with that anyway?)
