Great Dave.
I'll mark you down for the tools you mentioned. Definatly the ramp also, though I think many of us can crawl right under ours! Another benifet besides the shade they provide...

Nick,
I have or can get.
3 ton Floor jack, hi lift jack, tons of hand tools, accesability to air compressor and a slew of air tools,
jack stands, greese gun, and will invest in some sort of containers for the oil and diff and trans
fluild, one for each.. being at a checker we will not need many containers if we just empty them after they are full and move on to the next vehicle.. also ramps if needed.

Nick,

I'm interested in participating in this one, although I am currently
Jeepless. One CJ is in pieces on my garage floor, and my XJ is in the
shop getting the fuseblock rebuilt due to a Chrysler design flaw. I'd
end up showing up in a Dodge, but am willing to get underneath someone
else's Jeep and point out stuff if they want. I think when plans firm up
a bit more there might be more definite answers as to who will show up.

I've got most of the handtools required to disassemble (and reassemble) a
Jeep, they would just need to be unstrewn from my floor if they are
needed.

Dave,
Thought I would drop you a line to thank you again for the information on the tow hook brackets. I downloaded the picture from Rusty's and then went down to the dealer here in Safford, from there to buy the steel. With 2 feet of, 4"x 1/4" channel iron, and with a little trimming and bolt hole drilling, I was set. There was no need for any welding. It bolts in on existing bolts, and looks just like Rusty's---except it only cost me about 8.00 for the metal. Total cost with 10,000 LB. hooks(largest I could find in this little town), is $25.00. Of course I installed them myself. It is pretty easy. Takes about an hour to install. Anyway like I was saying, Thanks again Dave, You saved me $50.00. Hope I can someday repay the favor!!!!!!!

Hi Brain,
I can see what you mean by not getting down here for a trip with the
group. Nothing like driving 2 hours then wheel'n all day and then have to
drive 2 hours to get home .I haven't had a chance to go out with the group
either because my toy is in pieces in the garage. (motor out, rear axle torn
apart) hope to have it all back together by the 4th of July. There are
supposed to be some great trails up there where you are. Know of any good
one?

Hi Keith,
I'm afraid that I am in the same boat as you. My toy is down for repairs as
well. Kind of depressing to hear about all these great wheelin stories and then
walk into my garage and see the motor on the ground and axles sitting on the
floor. Hope to have it all together in a week or so. You know, money and time is
all it takes.(yeh right) The group sounds like a great bunch of people. I have
run into other "clubs" on the trail before and have less than happy greeting in
a few cases. I feel as though some of the clubs are far to organized and it
takes some of the fun out of trail riding. I like the concept behind this group.
i.e.. "I'm going wheeling , anybody want to join me?" It's just the way it
should be.
Look forward to meeting you on a trail or two. Take it easy.

Anyone interested in a loop on Sunday starting up FourPeaks and down to
Roosevelt and back through Tortilla Flats and Apache Junction? This isn't
really much of a tough run but Tricia and I are planning to try to get up
early enough to get to the top of 4Peaks for tomorrow's sunrise. A bit of
quick math and you will see what time I am talking about. It is about an
hour plus to the top. All roads are rated 1 to 2 with only a rough rock
spot about 2/3 of the way up. We might go hiking at Lone Pine at the top
and we will be bringing our 2 dogs along. It will be as cool there as
almost anywhere else in the state (5500 feet). If we do get an early enough
start we should be back around noon.

Anyone want to come along??

Welcome to the club. There are quite a few upgrades.
The easiest is a cat-back exhaust and air tube and filter
that replaces the original air box. the two together will
increase hp by 18 to 21 and mpg by 20%. Just makes it breath
better. www.turbocity.com

I'm in ... it's been a while since I've done FourPeaks. I'll be coming from

Dave,
Thought I would drop you a line to thank you again for the information on the tow hook brackets.

Dave,
I was not sure if you were getting all my messages so I tried this address as well. Great link! Rusty's has great prices for what I am use to here in this little town. Thanks again for your help. Definately addressed all of my problems for now . Thanks,

We'll be hitting I-10 and Queen Creek Road (south of Firebird Lake) at about 12:30. I'll have the CB on channel 5. Give us a holler, and maybe we can hook up (white TJ) ...if not, catch you there.

I'll be heading down if you (or anyone else) want to link up. If we don't link up, take I-10 and exit on Grant Av...go east, and keep on Grant for a ways, till it runs into Tanque Verde...go left onto TV. The ABCO is at the NE corner of TV and Catalina.

Thanx,

I was browsing the TeraFlex web site www.teraflx.com/ and looked under Product Development. They're working on a coil conversion that looks awesome. Thought some of you might want to check it out.
