When the movie, "The World's Fastest Indian" came out I wanted to see it but was just too busy. Anyway, I finally got around to watching it on DVD. I would highly recommend this movie to any motorcycle enthusiast. It's a keeper. The movie is about New Zealander Burt Munro's goal to set a motorcyle speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats. (His speed record still stands).

I wish I had a quarter of Munro's persistence and focus in my own projects! :)

Here's a link to his bio.

Great movie.

I like the legend about he would dig a hole in the sand and use it as a piston mold. Iron pipe for cylinder walls, etc. Crazy guy!

Excellent movie, I went out and bought it afterwards.

Also, in case you haven't, get Ewan McGregor and Charlie Bormans (sp) "Long Way 'Round".

This movie and a post from another car board (dude went across the States and back on a Suzuki SV650) got me back into Motorcycling.

Read the book as well, great read. If you can find the out of U.S. version, I believe it has more footage.
