Just a couple fun pictures to get you in the mood for a large gathering..
The first photo shows us the red shirts in action. here we can see about 25 ppl, imagine tripling that..
The 2nd photo shows us a small group of jeeps waiting for the light to change to green.. imagine 10x the lineup.. jeeps as far as one can see..
Is the road to payson still a one lane road?

from the Taliban and repainted it to teach them a lesson?

Ok, I have tentatively signed up and promise to be there if I can. I
have family that are displaced by this fire, and really want to go if
I can. I am not sure what I can bring to donate as funds are very slim
right now, but I will try to bring something.
This will be my first AZ_VJC run, so pleeeeeeeese bring some club
decals with you so I can purchase those before we leave for Payson.
Also sign me up for a couple of white or black "rodeo run" stickers so
I can properly plaster my jeep with AZ_VJC stuff!! (I know it is first
come-first served...so I will get there early if I can, but please do
bring some of the color club sitckers for us newbies!!)
If I can make it, I will have a nearly empty XJ to carry any donations
that will not fit anywhere else, so if anyone needs more room, I got
it. Just look for the White XJ with the tire on the roof and the
totally lost and confused driver...
I hope to see you there!!!!

banger pushing big tires, my fat butt, and those hills aren't
little. I am gonna try to borrow sis in law's xj so I can bring

Robert,
While I like Stu think your presence is great, I find it ironic
the "Wheel Dust" and or ASA4WDC would find any interest in writing
anything concerning AzVJC. In the past ASA4WDC has shunned away from
AzVJC and it's members because of the "lack of organization". I mean
even at the jamborees when AzVJC had the most participents ASA4WDC
would not acknowledge us.
As like most AzVJC runs, unlike the other clubs, anyone (for the most
part) is welcome to attend this run. I am hopeful you will find some
way to report this that will lift the stigma that ASA4WDC and some of
it's members have about AzVJC. I am also hopeful that this run will
be covered as "non-club" members and to some extent "non-ASA4WDC"
members doing something good for people in need.
Robert, I apologize ahead of time if you find the above offensive. I
have thought about this reply since you posted your message, a day or
so, and felt something needed to be said.
As for other members of AzVJC, especially new ones, it is extremely
important to become a member of ASA4WDC. It is simple to do. Go to:
http://www.asa4wdc.org/memform.html , print out the form, fill it
out, and send it in with your $25 check. This group does good things
for 4 wheelers.

I don't want to get into the whole organize or not to organize debate,
please. I was wondering if Mike C. could put a check box on the AzVJC
individual member information page that says something like "Check here if
you are an ASA4WDC member". Maybe, and I am not a programmer so I don't know
if this is possible, have the box clear after a year (when the membership
needs to be renewed).
I know for those of us that are already members with less than a year left
it may not work, at first. After a period of time I think it would iron
itself out.
Something like this could also be compiled in the stats of our club, similar
to the type of Jeeps we have.

Hi, I'd love to come and I'm going to bring my truck, I'm wimpy, too hot and
I'd hate to try and get that thing up any hills, I'm still learning stick
and I only have a 4 cyl. So my V8 truck will be going instead. So I'll have
plenty of room for stuff.

Those pics are of a soviet Mi-24 "Hind" helicopter. Are your SURE that
our boys are flying it there? I do not think that peristroyka has
opened up our military quite to the point that we are flying
decommissioned russian attack copters. Perhaps we "liberated" that
from the Taliban and repainted it to teach them a lesson?
Nice pics, though!

I signed up for the Fire relief run, but I dont think I can take my
jeep unless i get some 215 70 r15 tires. Unfortunately I have a four
banger pushing big tires, my fat butt, and those hills aren't
little. I am gonna try to borrow sis in law's xj so I can bring
goods and have room for more people. SO if she cant let me I would
appriciate a lift up there.

Robert,
While I like Stu think your presence is great, I find it ironic
the "Wheel Dust" and or ASA4WDC would find any interest in writing
anything concerning AzVJC.
