I have no idea how many will show up.
There are a lot of clubs invited.
This is whole idea, clubs, people, 4x4s, families.
It was NOT "busy" in the area we camped in.
We stay in camp and have the games, socialize.
Very easy run (on the rim) then go home the
next day. I did run into traffic on the way
back, due to a road changed to one lane for
some construction.

Sounds great. Count me in. I can meet you either in Phoenix or up on the Rim. There's a Mobil station at Chandler Blvd (east) and I-10, if you want to meet there..or anywhere else for that matter. Let me know what works best for you.

That's great things are in the works at checkers. As for no shade there I think we will just have to deal with it, this is a good offer and no reason to pass on it just because shade (if it goes through...). Do you know how they would feel about water and electricity use?
Everyone else,
There has not been many replies yet on various tools available and only a few replies on people saying they will be there. I know we haven't set a date yet but go ahead and give us an idea of who may show. As soon as we fiqure out the location we will set a date, maybe a poll on the egroups?

Hi all!
If anybody is interested we, the Tucson/Southern
Arizona Chapter are having a run to the Tanks
Saturday. We are planning on meeting at 12 noon
at the Abco on Tanque Verde and Catalina Hwy.
We will be spending the night and coming back to
town Sunday sometime. Scott or Jeffery please feel
free to correct the time or add anything....
Three Tanks is three HUGE natural pools fed by
underground springs and rain run-off. The pools
are very deep and can be jumped into from 12 to 20
foot cliffs. There is even good low water, sandy
spots for small children to play in.
Good area to camp and the nightime temps
should be pretty nice (upper 60s low 70s)
This is in the Redington area, far Easide of
Tucson.
Anyone interested, show up! or e-mail me before
5PM Friday.

3 ton Floor jack, hi lift jack, tons of hand tools, accesability to air compressor and a slew of air tools,
jack stands, greese gun, and will invest in some sort of containers for the oil and diff and trans
fluild, one for each.. being at a checker we will not need many containers if we just empty them after they are full and move on to the next vehicle.. also ramps if needed.

Sorry guys.. hope you have fun on the Hausiempa (spelling). Word of advice.
Air down to at least 8lbs for this run, I got stuck in the Gila a few weeks ago and the sand is very (Very)
dry and you will get stuck if you are not down to at least 8lbs... and getting stuck in sand in the heat
really sucks..........

I have or can get.

Dave,
Thought I would drop you a line to thank you again for the information on the tow hook brackets. I downloaded the picture from Rusty's and then went down to the dealer here in Safford, from there to buy the steel. With 2 feet of, 4"x 1/4" channel iron, and with a little trimming and bolt hole drilling, I was set. There was no need for any welding. It bolts in on existing bolts, and looks just like Rusty's---except it only cost me about 8.00 for the metal. Total cost with 10,000 LB. hooks(largest I could find in this little town), is $25.00. Of course I installed them myself. It is pretty easy. Takes about an hour to install. Anyway like I was saying, Thanks again Dave, You saved me $50.00. Hope I can someday repay the favor!!!!!!!

This sucks.. Cough,sniff,sniff

Dave,
Thought I would drop you a line to thank you again for the information on the tow hook brackets.
