This is a complete front axle assembly that was recently removed from my 1990 Jeep Wrangler. I replaced it with a "rebuilt" D30 that had a full-carrier locker and larger u-joints. There are only two known issues with this axle I'm selling:
1) the seals need to be replaced (it leaks diff fluid when on a side-hill)
2) no brake calipers/rotors/pads, as I re-used them on my new axle correction: these brake components ARE included, as they were NOT re-used on the replacement axle
It has reverse-cut (high pinion) 4.10 gears. They were professionally installed less than 20K miles ago, along with a PowerTrax "locker". It's actually a mix between a locker and a limited slip, as described on the PowerTrax website (http://www.powertrax.com/noslip.html). It made NO noise while driving on-road, and it performed well off-road.
The steering linkage and tie rod are included (for free). I've got this axle priced at $275 FIRM elsewhere, but I'll offer a $35 VJC discount. So your net cost would only be $240!
The axle is located near Brown and Greenfield, in Mesa. Email me (90YJ@cox.net) if you want to see pics or schedule the pick-up. Thanks! Reed
