Troy from Toys by troy just called me looking for Mike Anderson's #
He's going to offer a gift certificate for us to raffle on Saturday. He said that he wanted the money to be donated to anyone but the red cross.
Maybe we could use that raffle money up in Payson if we find out they need something we didn't bring.
GREAT job Troy!!!
So Mike, Give him a call. If you need his cell # I can give it you.

I normally wouldn't respond to this, but since it is mis-information ( read ->, just flat no where close to true ;) ), I figured that I would.
Mmmmm, ok, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you don't read post that don't interest you and thus that's why you haven't seen any of my post before.
Let's see, I've posted rather profusely on a varity of on topic post in the last year. Recent topics:
- Weight distribution in the Jeep.
Multiple times over several months as I've been modifying my Jeep to improve the weight distribution. These post have included actual split platform weights and the various mods done to improve the weight distribution and the outcome, as verified by other split platform scale weights.
- Multiple post on the Currie Anti-Rock Sway Bar for TJ's. Why I have one. Why I believe they work. What I believe they do. This topic has come up mulitple times over the last year, and I've been involved in all the threads.
- Disconnecting rear sway bars on TJ's.
- Shocks and shock lengths and shock ratings. Wide range of post, again over the past year, including stiff vs softer shock valving and how that affects flex. Multiple threads on this have cropped up over the last year, and I believe I've been in all of 'em.
- Flex and articulation
- Radius arm design (ala RE). The engineering behind it. The problems with it and why. Better engineering for long arms.
- Control arm brackets tearing off. Thoughts on why.
- Springs. Spring rate vs load rate. What, why, how it affects or doesn't affect ride, flex, and articulation.
- Rear sway link modifications (heim joints).
- Control arm end's, various designs, bushings, heims or rod ends, cartridge joints.
- Automatic transmission swap from a 5 speed.
Ok, enough examples. Some of these various threads, here on the az_vcj, have been originally started (posted) by me, such as the RE radius arm design (several times), and the weight distribution. The other ones have all contained multiple post by me for over a year. Many have included links with photos by me.
So, if one assumes that you only read post that are of interest to you, and therefore you haven't seen any of my post before, one can also assume that you've simply had no interest in any of the above topics. ;)
Best to you,
Fred

I have answered most items off the list and it will stay that way.
I posted a normal question for someone that is a one issue poster. We can not and do not want to limit membership so the chance that a Greenie could join our group and post when it was important to them is something we all discussed many times. Remember when the Environmental Attorney joined(Grey matter) I did nothing less and I will leave at that.

Subject: Payson Run?
SORRY Gang!,
Man, I have really been out of the e-mail circuit lately. My wife and I have recently moved to Payson from Safford, well actually we have been here since January. But we have been very busy moving twice since we got here. Our place didn't close until lately due to @#%&@, you know . We are now in our new place just down the road from Wal-mart in the area that is called North Payson. It is just inside the Ponderosa pines. I just recently put all my computer equipment back up and noticed the posting on the site about the Payson run. I would like to do what ever I can to help out. If we are in need of a station site, I do have a large contained camp trailer with an awning and the such. If this would be something we could use to set up or the like, I would be proud to assist. Most of the people here are very grateful for all the help. It is very humbling to witness the loss in the eyes of those who are being effected. This idea of the Payson run is by far one of the greatest things that AZ_VJC has put forth. And the support that we can gain in the eyes of those still in doubt about our great sport, will definitely be a blessing that we are not even looking for in this charitable act. I would like to help with this, and who ever is heading up this run, if you would like to call or email me I will do all I can to help. My phone number is 928-468-1932, and my cell number is: 928-595-0569, and my email address is : casper@cybertrails.com.
Again, I am sorry to be getting in late on this, but would very much like to help out.
Thanks,
Casper

Maybe we could use that raffle money up in Payson if we find out they need something we didn't bring.
GREAT job Troy!!!

Thanks,
Casper

Subject: [az_vjc] yet another VJCer helping out
This is from Ty Cook, a VJCer from Yuma. Ty sent me some money. He said:
Have fun on the caravan trip and please buy some pet food and supplies with this money. I hope this donation will help make up for my absence in the run. The City of Yuma is moving the entire accounting and finance dept into a new city hall this weekend so I can't make the trip up to phoenix to join you guys. Everyone will be in my thoughts though, have a safe trip. fellow AZVJC guy down in yuma, ty
