Understand there is an auto insurance agent lurking around the board somewhere.

Looking for info/expectations regarding HB 2357 and the insurance policy required blah blah blah.

Guess I was a little late on the suggestion to do this as you already had before I posted in the other thead that it would be a good idea to start a more specific thread.

I am beginning to think that the insurance agent I remember was on the other Arizona Virtural Jeep site that is not BBS like this one.

No luck searching my subscribed to threads for him.

CRAP...just wrote lengthly dissertation of what qualifies, all to have it deleted:mad::mad:

very abridged version:

vehicle must be 15 years old
must have classic/collectable insurance policy (state is relying on agents to police)

to get classic/collectable policy must be :
restricted (parade/club activities

NOT acceptable (per insurance guidelines)*:
suspension modified (raised or lowered)
steering modified
engine replaced for increased HP

*these are true for ALL policies... yes that means your 2008 Wrangler with a 2" lift would not qualify**

**just because it does not qualify does not mean (obviously) it will not be written... agents (not companies) must make determination if premium is worth the risk

which do you think would get a relativly clean 1978 CJ7 w/3"lift issued as classic?

26 yr old renter living by self who currently has 1987 Chevy pickup with minimal coverage (15/30/10)

or

35yr male married to 35yr old female, $400,000 home policy, 1998 Jeep GC, 1998 Merc sable (250/500/100 plus 1 mill umbrella)

insurance (and running insurance agency) is a numbers/betting game: the larger the pot (household size/premium $$), the better chance of accepting a moderate bet
