Ever since the BFG Challenge run in 06 Payson and forestry has recognized the draw and even changed the fr rd 198 to Pyatte drive /fr rd 198 this was done last month, pretty cool huh?

Wait, what is the correct spelling of Pyatte or Py..whatever... draw? The picture looks funny. They did a crumby job of lettering it... Cool that they changed the name though.

Sucks. Now, more people are gonna find the trail and trash it. Good luck with all the cleanups now, gonna be the new TM or WT. I honestly think it is a bad idea to locate the trails for the masses. OK, flame on.

Its a double edged sword for sure. In a perfect world it wouldn't matter, but because we have so many idiots:mad: we really do have to be careful about letting trail info out to the masses. Hopefully its the exception to the rule and will be untrashed for years to come.

I saw the Sign change LAST November (I think it was November). The sign has been up for a while. Just no one noticed it I guess.

Interesting point Sy, is it possible to make the trip starting from the "end" or last obstacle? I agree with the gatekeeper idea.

 Coming down that would SUCK!!! It might even keep me off it. I want to know when Charlie is gonna cough up the raincheck he gave me on UPPER Pyeatt. And the "Filter" at the beginning with no bypass would keep a ton of people off the trail too.

Ya i agree with all about trash but so far all the rigs out there have kept it pretty clean the problem out there right now is the young ones on the quads blazing new trails and not giving a rats &%$ what the outcome is and iam not talking in the wash iam talkin on the acsess rd's and new trails comming out of the wash the floods pretty much erase everything in the wash. i'm up for upper part.

but the last obstacle on lower can't be a gatekeeper cos the access road crosses the wash too much. :( although thats what make this trail appealing to some.

I think the Draw itself if pretty safe. Even the articles in the mags didn't give the exact directions. That street sign is what like 8 miles from the trail head? There are also about 3 other places that look like it could be the entrance also. People seem to be less interested if it takes awhile to get to. :D

Lance, I'm down for Upper as well. I've only ran past the the fall once.

When ever your ready Lance. Pyeatt is definitly a cool trail and I hope that it stays that way for a long time. I really don't believe that the sign is going to make a difference.
