Me, Dan, and Mike went out to Willow Springs today to do some wheeling and enjoy the weather. I've been wanting to try that first obstacle for a while now and decided to give it a try today.

The obstacle consists of a series of two waterfalls. The first one is a piece of cake. Here I am going up the first one.

Next comes the fun part, the second waterfall. Here I am lining up on it.

Getting up!

Trying again. Apparently I didn't get high enough on the wall on the passenger side and got my passenger rear tire wedged in between the rock outcrop and the deep under cut.

I just tried to crawl it and Pop! My rear USAlloy Chromo axle broke. This pic was taken after we had to winch my Jeep sideways to get out of the jam.

And there you have it. I had to take the whole carrier out to dislodge the broken piece. It was jammed in there pretty good. It also did some damage to the ARB, but it seems to be working okay. Thanks for everybody's help. Mike you definitely made things interesting out there!:D

See what happens when you got a D44. If you had a D35 like me you wouldn't have gotten stuck on the obstacle... You would have broke it getting to it. :D

Tough luck on the axle shaft, Mike, but hey, it's got a lifetime warranty! Kudos for even trying that fall.

I just got home from Austin and I hope to get the CJ out for some fun soon.

Mike,

That sucks, that fall has claimed a few axles and T-cases. It is even more fun going down it.:)

I would like to thank Mike for saving me fuel and any carnage on my Jeep. :D
The funny thing is every time we have ran Willow we would stop at that particular obstacle and think about it...Well, this was the first time we said OK, let do it!

I really think that the shaft was already week due to a previous run because Mike was not on it that hard and if anything it should have been the other side.:confused:

Mike, please bring your wife on all runs as she had some great stories about you!! :D

Dan, You are a mean old bugger....NNNN-K!! ;)

Good times guys!

See this is why you don't have girlfriends, wives, kids, or friends of yours kids that like to wheel. :D You never get to drive your own junk. :D

Anytime Paige, it's all yours. (D*mn, can't help it she's a good kid, and to be honest her dad is a bit ******ed and we all feel sorry for him. :D :D :D)
