The Ford Diesel I just got at Airpark is great .....but....The tires and wheels are not stock. Stock is 265/75R15 these are 275/65R20. The rims are stock Ford rims, but not from this truck and the back spacing is obviously different because they rub the spring (inside rear of tire) when you turn hard. The rims look nice and the tires are in good shape, I can get a pair of 1.5" spacers for $115 to put on the front. A freind said the track width being different f-r would not matter as it is common on Chevy 4x4's. Is there any reason I should not run the spacers in the front. I do not intend to do the rear as I will haul a 5th wheel and I don't want the extra stress points but the front won't be carrying the weight.

These are the spacers I found, any other ideas?? http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Adapter_8_Lug_170_To_8_Lug_170_p/8170-8170.htm

Adjust your steering stops. You will sacrifice a bit of the turning radius (not enough to notice) but it's free.

I assume you are talking about what I put on mine... I used the newer 20's on my 02 and I added two washers onto the steering stops. The steering radius seems to be the same and I don't rub anymore. I can only assume it is because of the narrowed track width that it turns in the same radius. Of course, can anything with 4 doors and a long bed turn in a tight circle???:D
