I'm really bad with directions and I don't really know the names of the trails but I do know that we took carefree highway west of i-17 and past the turn offs for the lake. We turned off of carefree highway @ mile marker 11 and then took the trails through the mountains. The pictures of us on the rocks were taken next to the section of wash that Wayco cut his tire on. There was also a windmill close to that section, hopefully that helped. I'm sure Bob, Andy, or Kelly could tell you the exact place:)

Yup, Bob showed us the rock that your tire was cut by. I can see how it puntured, that was a nice sharp point on that thing. On the way out i drove through it but i put my tires on the rocks to the right and avoided the large sharp ones, i'd hate to think what it would have done to my little 30" bfg's:eek:

That area looks and sounds kinda like this place.

I went out there once and did some exploring. I did find a windmill and directly behind it there was a wash that looked like the one in your pics. There was a bunch of quail around the tank when I pulled up.
