Been on RAW DEAL ... kind of a short trail. Also been on the New River road, long, but not much of a challenge, good scenery though. Looking for something inbetween.

We're not sure where we're going yet... need to decide soon. Anybody have the Wells or another trail book? Mine went MIA after the move this summer.

been up to the hiking trail head a couple times. Once in a 92 Tercel. That sounds like fun. If someone has GPS we could got explore the area by Butcher Jones, I just don't wanna get lost :D

hmmm gps... not me.... went to butcher jones last weekend...or was it weekend b4 when detour on 87 due to tanker explosion. didnt know where the hell i was going... i made it out alive though! send a messege my way if you find another spot...or .... sumthin... :)

4 Peaks Road is pretty much Do-able with ANY SUV. if wanting to explore that area, i suggest El Oso Mine.

4 peaks is fine... I was thinking something a little more challenging, but El Oso sounds cool. Anyone else have better suggestions? I'll probably leave here around 8, it'd take me at least an hour and a half to get out that way, if thats the direction we want to go.

Well then... I'll be at the intersection of the bush and beeline highways around 10 AM. If no one shows I'll just go hike 4 peaks again.

You can do what me and my brother have done many times, go to Four Peaks, from there you follow the main road until the main branch off (Where theres some small jump on the right, its a big Y split) take the right road, then another right in a few hundred yards. Following this trail for a ways (Use Google Earth or something similar to see what i'm Talking about) and it is the back way to Butcher Jones/The Coves. after about an hour you'll be at the lake ;) Nothing very challenging though.

weekend b4 when detour on 87 due to tanker explosion.

The tanker was hauling gas. They thinked he burned to death, a slow death. Most of the time the gas tanker explodes and it is a fast death. That is the 2nd gas tanker to explode in that same spot in 3 years. I drive a fuel tanker, so please say a small prayer for the family.

I think we ended up coming out that way once when we were exploring the coves. We found a bunch of whoopdedoos that are normally used by quads then we were on 4 peaks road

aww Geeeeez! I shoulda checked out the forum this A.M. I woulda got your number! I went down..... errr i mean.... up to four peaks got there at 10am..... just some motocross guys and their trailer.... figured i would run into someone on the trail up.... was a nice day perfect amount of clouds no rain .... cool weather simple trail! just saw another tj with some tourist lookin people! and some a-hole who thought no one else was around and almost hit me in his Ford Taurus.......

I got to the intersection of Bush and Beeline highways at about 10AM, waited about 20 minutes and no one showed up. I headed into the ATV area by the lake and made my way to 4 peaks road. Had some fun climbing hills, it was a good day.

Hmmmm..... I mustve passed you at busch hwy..... i was the black 06 tj that went screaming by you....:D maybe next time!? I'll plan better...:)
