Some interest in a quick run through Elvis tomorrow.
33" and some traction recommended, spare parts, willingness to get some.
Let's say 0830 at Price Rd. Price Rd is just north of the Gila River, North of Florence off of HWY 79.
I'd like to be back towards pavement around 12.

I've made it through on 31s, had to take a few bypasses, but still had fun

Rich, I know it's a ***** (hey, that rhymes!), but if there are indeed beer bottles strewn about, will you please try to pick them up? I know you like to run fast, but you know how I am about that sort of thing. I think.

Wowza, did you know that the forum would 'edit' your words for you? I didn't! That's really pretty cool, b/c it would be pretty hard to be banned for edited words, right?

I always pick up trash, no worries Di. ;)
One of the things I like about these trails is they aren't too trashed.
So it looks like we got at least two victims ? Right ON !
With a small group we can make sure everyone gets through OK. I think if you got some 32"'s and know how to drive you'll be fine.
Everyone is good for 0830 ?

Thank you Rich. I know you do. I was disturbed by a post Adam put up about the stucks littering our areas. That kind of thing just pizzes me off to no end, you know how I can be!!
Have fun, be safe, write it up!! :p

I wish I could make it out this morning, but my wife promised her mom that I would let the dogs out this morning. I could make it over there around 11 or so if any of you want to run some other trails afterward. I could zip through box canyon and meet you at the play hill.

Since it was just Wedge and I we took the bypass around Elvis (Box Canyon).
Played around a little and did some exploring, still nice to get out, beats working. Some ominous clouds out there but just some spprinkles of rain, went ahead and performed a rain ceremony hoping to entice the gods to let loose.

was a good cruise this morning. didn't do elvis, but instead went through box canyon to foreplay and out cottonwood road. was a good time, had a couple challenges for my jeep, and Rich played around a bit. only bad thing was the dog getting a bunch of cactus in him. but he seems to be doing much better now.
Here's some pics
good sized rattler that just didn't seem to care we were even there

Cool! I'm in CMS on shift 7. I just finished covering shift 6 for 7 weeks. It was interesting to see what it's like there after the sun goes down. Let me know if you're up for any weekday wheeling...

wedge
10-02-2007, 10:55 AM
front left int he air, rear right was just barely touching pee gravel, so I couldn't go forward or backwards. just needed a bit of a tug to get passed it.
dropped it off at desert fab today to get the ford 8.8 put in. has a spool untill I can get a locker in it.
and yeah I'm up for some weekday riding when I'm not out doing the dirtbike thing.
