View Full Version : Anything South of Buckeye?
Are there any trails of intrest, South of Buckeye? The White Tanks, are the only trails I know of in the area, and Well's book only listed some easy stuff, down by Gila Bend.

Now that was just not right. You know some of them could easily make it a 4.0-5.0:eek:

Cheap Trick is probably beyond my capabilities, but I'm interested....
I live in Estrella, and it's a long way to anything but WT's.

Also in Estrella. I work weekends occasionally, but will be up for a run if I'm not working. Stock JK here - even the SUV type tires, so nothing too difficult.

This is in the buckeye hills area, roughly jackrabbitt/elliot.I know where Gila Monster is so maybe i'll post a run for that and we can see if we can find Cheap Trick is.

Is it a in and out trail, like Upper Scorpion? Or do you go in one way and come out on a road? I heard it was a 4.0 to 5.0 depending on your line.

My understanding is that it is an in and out but that there is a road/trail that parallels the wash so you don't have to do the obstacles on the way back out. I believe there is a barbed wire fence blocking the way out to the south.
I haven't run Cheap Trick - only been up to the first obstacle. I wasn't set up for it at the time. It's probably rated a 4.0 if I'm understanding today's ratings (I tend to go by the old ASA4WDC ratings). I think there are only 3 or 4 obstacles.

At first i thought that was an 8" in the back of a Wrangler. Thought we might have something in common.

It was an in and out. Also when I ran CT I was locked F&R on 32's in a full body'd XJ. I dont remember it being that tough.

It comes out to a road, not real hard but there are a couple optional things that are pretty good.
