so i worked for this electrical company, for about 2 years they came up with this idea to send a few employees to school at our expense. which i don't have any problems doing but heres the deal the first semester i was supposed to pay for it ,53 dollars out of each weeks check for 15 weeks. well the company never got billed for it so i didnt have to pay. k second semester rolls around and now im supposed to pay the 53 a week well i ended up quiting recently last fri i was approved for my raise waited six weeks, after the second check i got with no raise i brought it up and was told oops sorry i forgot it will be on the next one
and so on next check shows up no raise. i had asked the boss man 4 times about it. i quit .they dont want to pay me for the last week that i worked.i think in the lines of me having to pay for the school. my boss and i had spoke over the phone about it and i told him i couldn't afford it and that was it now they dont want to pay me .what can and should would you do :confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused:

I think you dug your own hole by quiting.

I don't know if there is anything you can do... maybe our Lawyer sponsor friend can give you legal advice.

First, make a report with the Bureau of Labor.
If you weren't Union, you will have a long haul up the legal road. If you were Union, get in touch with your chapter representitive.
Contact the Department of Education to investigate possible fraud.
Contact the regulatory administration for electrical contractors for your state as well.
Contact your local unemployment office, for help, they should pursue this for you.
Also, Save all written correspondence with everybody, make copies and send them to your old boss. He won't be pleased, but maybe he'll do the right thing before you call the state firemarshall about questions and concerns of some of the work you were ordered to do and whether local and state codes were actually met, get my meaning?
Good luck.
