Thanks for the offer James, but I threw away my 2nd set of extra doors a
little while ago.....I don't really need another set! LOL I'm trying to
thin out the truck parts before I have to move everything to the new house.
Looking at the stacks of crates and boxes I would guess that I have at least
as much (if not more) Jeep parts and tools as we have household stuff to
move. One UHaul load for the house.......One UHaul load for the Jeep.

Ok so I got to pull my foot out of my mouth and admit that it is a good
mod. The accuracy of the gauges compared to the stock filtered gauges is
awesome.

Last night while I was at REI, something happened to my jeep. I went
inside to look around for a tent and was inside for about 20 minutes.
when I came out, I noticed that somebody attempted to take off my
AZVJC stickers, well, at least the drivers side one. but the right
side, as with the left side was written on with a black felt marker
and scratched off with a paper clip that they dropped. a witness said
that is was a man and woman both looking like they're in late 30's
early 40's. they drove off in a new Saturn SUV, the color, unknown.
anyway, I fixed the damage that was minimal, and now I'm looking for
some new stickers, again. without using the Internet, where can i
pick a couple up?
thanks

Another slant on "REI"............ they are GREEN, supported by the greens
and very anti motorized recreationists. Maybe it would be a good idea to
check out Popular Surplus next time when looking for camping supplies.

Years ago I had someone "KEY" my Scout in an REI parking lot.......... Same
type incident....... inside less than 20 minutes looking for sleeping bags.
It was definitely a "key" gouge.... not a bump from a nearby door. ???????

There is a group out there whose sole intent is to deface SUVs. I found

volunteers in the Phoenix area. Too bad they weren't caught.

If I ever saw someone purposely destroying/marking/damaging
someone's Jeep, I would commit vigilante justice by generating
reciprocal damage to said offender. If it was a Honda, however, I
might just help them out! LOL! It's sad to hear what has become of
adults in this day and age, and, being 32 (in 12 days!) I see so many
ignorant people of my age that "ought to know better".
Responsibility has been shirked by an entire generation, it's true,
and subsequent generations have followed suit. Have you ever noticed
that the enviro-dicks are so into their chosen "religion" because
they are some of the most boring, weak, and thin-charactered
individuals in our society? It is a way for them to shower
themselves with attention, and being caught only feeds their tiny
fire with righteous indignation. Sometimes I really dislike Planet
Earthlings. I keep hoping that these environ"mental cases" figure
out that by eating their own feces they can save precious rain
forests from being cut down for agricultural produce farming. I feel
like a Dr. Bronner's soap label, only with the right view! ;) LOL!

Stickers, lol. Joe remember my post about needing an AC guy? First, I
want to thank everyone on their recommendations, I will be calling
them soon. Anyway, I had a guy from Hendel's come out to check out my
AC. He saw my Jeep and snorkel and asked, had I ever seen the green
Jeep with all the stickers on it that had a snorkel? LOL. I knew
exactly who he was talking about, do you? Well, the AC unit has a
freon leak, he charged it and said it might last a year. So I will

I was up in Redrock area (Montizzuma's Well actually) today and saw a
potential project full size jeep for sale if you are interested.

It appears to be an early 70's Wagoneer but might even be a late 60s.
They are asking $1000 just reduced from $1600. The phone number is
(928)567-2808.

I forgot to look but I believe it is a 4 door and it did have some
cancer by one of the rear wheel wells. I didn't look at it very close.

You now know as much about it as I know. If you are interested call them
because I won't be of any help since I don't know anything about it.

Subject: Jeep liposuction; progress report

Got the center section cut out of my Jeep, I plan on going with the tube
chassis Jeep skin look.
I finished the cage and installed it this weekend (Happy Father's Day to
me!).
I need to fab the seat support tubes, paint it, then I have about million
and a half maintenance/repair items to take care of....
I would send pics, but the digital camera I "borrow" isn't in my
possession....
Sharky, Dave Withers, Bruce Browell and Nick have seen it, and they all
Swore they'd shave their head like mine if they said anything about the
mistakes I made on it...If I were the rest of you guys and gals, I'd
pressure them to tell, and make them live up to their agreement....

Of course, we would have to get used to a brighter city, considering the
amount of real estate reflecting the sun off their heads.......

Subject: Was: tire rotation, Thanks Rick Beer!

Here's why I recommend Rick Beer:
Saturday I had my 33x10.5 BFG AT installed at the new Discount
Tire store he works at. When I placed my order with him over the
phone I told him the guys with AZVJC recommended him. He
figured the price for me and it was the same I got a few weeks
ago from another DT location before I new about Rick.. Then he
discounted for the club and it was over $20 per tire. No haggling
, no price matching. Just the best price he could do. It was lower
than any other I had received shopping around, so I placed the
order. They're an odd size so it took a week. I set up Saturday to
get them installed. Rick changed stores from the time I ordered
to the time they arrived. The new store is MUCH closer to my
house. He picked up my tires when they came in at the old store
and brought them to the new one. When I went in on Saturday,
Rick was there on his day off to fix his wifes's tire and meet me
to say hi and make sure I was taken care of ok. He personally
wrote up my order. He was even wearing an AZVJC t-shirt. Mine
wasn't the biggest order to come from this group but I'd never
know that from dealing with Rick.

Thanks Rick!

I wouldn't go advertising that one... You may wind up missing a Jeep..
And having mine stolen once and broken into 4 times since owning it.
It's not fun to deal with missing a JEEP.....

I did not post this saying I'm coming to take your truck, but more along the lines of, my XJ was on the most stolen trucks list in 2000/2001 according to my insurance. Knowing my key is so usable, I wonder when it is going away against my will. I thought, out of the kindness of my heart, I would share this info
