Thanks for the heads up. I actually think we've got one of the toys - the Elmo guitar. I've gotta find it. I know it's some kind of Sesame Street guitar.

I'm not sure I ate lead paint chips, but I grew up in a house that was built in the 1800's and had lead pipes.

Our Elmo guitar is different from the one listed on that site. I'm guessing we're okay.

We do have one of the toys shown on there, but was bought at least a year ago. My kid doesn't eat his toys...

Worry or not???

Lead stunts your growth and causes you to buy BA yellow jeeps. :D

If everyone thinks back to the toys they played with as a kid, especially those in the 40+ years old catagory, and then looks at the toys being recalled - the recalled toys are still 150 times safer than our childhood toys.

It is obviously important to give your kid safe toys....we do blocks, video games, puzzles, giant plastic soldiers and dinos --- nothing that would ever be recallled :)

I would still call them to see, just to be on the safe side :)

Worry, get it out of your house... even though your child does not chew on it... I would call and get your money back...

I resemble that!

I played with the steel lawn darts, slingshots, invented the "bungee jump"(a garden hose thrown over a branch 30' up), homemade mourning stars, swords and chinese throwing stars, trampolines, swam under pool covers, played in the street, in parking garages, on skateboards and bikes. By the time I was 18, I had been in the emergency room 18 times. Once for every year of my life, got bitten by a dog in the face, broke my ankles 3 times each, broke an arm, tore my achilles tendon twice, broke 3 ribs, tore off an eyelid, broke my nose, broke 3 fingers, and broke a collar bone. That doesn't even include all the concussions and cuts and bruises. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I am sure there are a ton of people here who had similar childhoods, and a little lead based paint was the least of our worries. Doesn't mean we are to ignore this, and not protect our kids. My kids are my life!
