NOTICE:
Below is the timeline for the cleanup at Desert Wells scheduled for this coming Saturday. PLEASE put this on your calendars................. It seems we've lost all of the 4x4's to the recently announced Sycamore Cleanup and the ATV's are not putting their hands up to volunteer. WE ALL must be involved or this OHV area WILL be closed. I realize this area is predominately for bikes and ATV's but this cleanup requires a couple of trailers and 4x4's to haul bigger articles............ roofing, landscaping materials etc. The ATV's are desparately needed for the "shooting" areas and around a few of the tanks where illegal riding is happening.

A few hours in the morning will truly help make this a successful project.

Please pass this on to your friends.

Here is a preliminary plan with assignments for the September 29th Desert Wells Clean-up/Ambassador Patrol Day:

Plan on arriving at Milepost 207 on Highway 60 (Gold Canyon 3 miles east of Apache Junction) at approximately 6:30-7:00 AM on September 29th to get set-up and get final arrangements in order before the volunteers start showing up. At approximately 0815 AM Tim Holt will lead a brief discussion to the volunteers about the day including safety briefing and recognition of sponsors. The group will then break-up into three groups of volunteers with an agency leader to give further instructions:

Group #1 – OHV Ambassadors/Pinal County Sheriffs Office led by Troy Waskey (responsible for patrol and Ambassador initiation)

Group #2 – Signage and fence maintenance led by Tyler VanVleet (responsible for posting fence line trails closed and repairing fence where needed)

Group #3 – Trash clean-up led by Tim Holt and Troy Christenson (responsible for trash clean-up at various sites in Desert Wells)

We will work until around 11:30 AM at which time RideNow will have pizza delivered to MP 207 on Highway 60 and volunteers can return for a lunch break. After lunch work will resume if the need is still there.

Be aware that the BLM and Scottsdale Land Rover Owners Association are also doing a clean-up on the east side of Highway 79 with a dumpster located off of Cottonwood Canyon Road. The Ambassadors may want to do some patrols in that area as well.

Carrie and I will be there with our truck, maybe I'll bring the Jeep too.

I have forwarded this info to anyone I know who is a quad or bike rider also.

Carrie is also writing an article for the news paper. Maybe she can get even more press than that.

Sure would be nice to have pictures of a lot of people out there for the cause. :)
