Yup. Coil springs front and rear. I also have the bumps stops extensions and T-Case lowering kit for the 3" lift, which I'll sell for half of list price (don't know at the moment what they cost). I have the installation instructions, which I could photo copy if desired. A rear track bar relocation bracket would be needed (from TeraFlex) as well. Should be fairly cheap.

I know it's not east valley, but Driveline Service of Arizona (on Washington
between 36th st and the highway 143) builds new and rebuilds existing
driveshafts. I had a custom driveshaft built for my XJ from them ... quick
and very good quality.

No. I did it on Upper Ajax about a month ago. Just haven't had a chance to get it to a shop.

Yea, today was really awesome. I had never seen a Jeep get so vertical as the TJ at the water fall. I thought he was going to turn turtle. Glad I decided to just watch.

I just picked up the pictures, oh man are they great. That TJ was WAY up there on the drivers side. I grabbed the bumper just after the shot. I am picking up a scanner tomorrow and will put them up for everyone to see. I have an itch like you can't imagine to get my axels and gears done on Lil Deb. Sorry I don't recall her name but his wife was one calm passenger.....

Matt,
If you are talking about your anti-sway bar, it is very important to
have this connected for on-road conditions to prevent wandering and for
better control. It is best to install disconnects, this way you have the
best of both conditions. It is a very easy installation, and pays for
themselves the first time you use them.(simplicity -- only takes a few
minutes to pull pins, and your ready to OFF-ROAD. I bought mine through
Rubicon Express, (www.rubiconexpress.com).

Hey! I have a 93 yj. My front track bar bolt sucks, or ya know the last 4
of them actually. Either you tighten them realy, realy tight to keep them
on and they snap or you loosen them so they won't snap and they end up
vibrating off... I went to the coves today and at the end when I was
reconnecting my sway bars I saw my bolt was completly gone, again. I don't
recommend driving around to much with it off. If you had to make a quick
stop or swerve you could be in trouble. The handling with it off is real
sloppy. I am going to try to fiqure out an alternative to this bolt this

Are you actually talking about the sway bar? The sway bar can be left
disconnected (I don't like driving with it discon though), but the track bar
should not be left discon on the road. The track bar keeps the body centered
over the axles.

Take the track bar off and toss it. Jeeps didn't have them for years. Most
leaf spring trucks do not have them. They limit articulation. If you ever
get your bolt to not break the track bar mounts will rip off the frame
anyway when the axles can,t flex as they want. I have a 1995 wrangler and I
tossed the track bar and the sway bar. Now it handles like a truck and not
a sport car. The wheeling capability is much improved and i don't have to
worry about trying to keep the track bar bolted on.

Subject: track bar

Like I said in my last message, leaving the track bar off makes for sloppy handling, leaving the sway bars disconnected makes for really sloppy handling. Leaving both off and I wouldn't drive it over 15mph! I have left my sway bars off 'just for the ride home' and did have to make a quick stop and turn, it was REALLY scary. It felt like my Jeep was gonna roll. I have made quicker stops and turns with my sway bars on and it's nothing, straight stop, no body sway. Also with the track bar disconnected you get really loose steering. It takes alot of turn to get the wheels to turn.
I think I am going to look into a cotter pin dealy with this bolt that keeps coming undone.

Hey all,

Went to the coves today to get out in the mountains and catch the storms. Got rained on quite abit and saw lots of lighting and great saturated colors on the hills. Oh, Someone filled in the muguals (sp?) at the entrance and also quite a few bypasses are popping up here and there. The hillclimb out of the first cove is getting a bit more rutted. The trash still isn't to bad, but still, lookes like bud rules.

Set me straight here; I thought Linda was doing a run to Dupont Cabin
July 10 and 11. Is the run to Lockett Meadows / Cinders just a Friday
run, or will there be two runs that same weekend?

Jim

Nick,

Take a look at the Rubicon Express trackbar. It has a heim joint on one end
to prevent the binding that is breaking your bolts. I put one on the YJ I
had before my TJ and it solved the problem. (I had previously replaced at
least a dozen bolts front and rear.) It also has a nut that you loosen
offroad that allows the trackbar to telescope. So you have the benefit of
essentially disconnecting it.

Cat. Proving grounds has been closed for years. there is an access, however
if you get caught, there could be some hefty fines. The access is about two
to three miles
n/e of miller rd. you wont see it unless you know where it is.
