Is there a way for me to pull the error codes myself like you can on a GM? The maintance required light has been on since I bought my YJ and am wondering why. It passed emissions VERY well and seems to run fine.
TIA!
**edit**
Well my YJ started misfiring really bad today.
I was able to pull the error codes, and the only one of any signifigance was 15(speed sensor not detected durning road conditions.) Could this be causing the misfiring problem? Any help would be great.
TIA!

Well i just went to get in my jeep to head back to work and it wont even leave the driveway now. the misfire is so bad that the engine dies when under a load. But sometimes when it is not under a load it will seem to run fine. Somebody please give me an idea where to start as this is my only vehicle at this time. Thank You.

You should probably try to diagnose the distance sensor and it's wiring.
I am unfamiliar with the sensor but if I had to guess I would say it has to do with your speedometer. The speed sensor is located in the transfercase. Check the wiring there and up to the computer as far as you can. If all is well you will need to diagnose the speed sensor by switching in a good one.
You might also look at your Crank shaft position sensor too.

After much troubleshooting it turned out to be a wire going to the fuel pump that was broken inside the insulation. It was barely making contact. Damn pain in the ***!!! Thanks for your reply!:D
