The water pump pulley hits the fan. There is an extra belt slot on that pulley, not sure if it's something that can be removed or not. I tried to gently remove it, but no luck.
Any suggestions?

I pulled the pulley and as I expected, it was one piece. :( I did some more research and found that there is like 1/4 to 1/2 inch of clearance! Yikes! Also, the fan isn't centered on the radiator. That's less than ideal. I hope it works out.
The fan, I found it on a thirdgen camaro board that I frequent. I can see if the dude has another for you. Send me a PM if you like.

Alright. The guy is trustworthy, so if you change your mind, I can put you in contact with him.
I got the fan installed, it seems to be working fine. I had a few beers while wiring it up (had to check things four or five times to make sure) but sitting there idling, it appears to hold a more reasonable engine temperature, which is the goal. I didn't set it up with a manual switch, just used a hayden temperature controller, which kicks on at around 185 or so.
My only other question is about the variable speeds of the fan. Which wire off of the fan controls which speed. I assumed the red and black was high speed, but that's just a guess.

You need to trim the depth of the shroud to clear the pulley... check out the write up and post up if you have any more questions......

Yeah, I found it last night. I'm definitely going to have to learn to weld. I got it in and it's working well, but I'm not happy with how mine is mounted, or how close the fan motor is to the pulley.
