I am fairly ignorant of photo management so type slow:D

I am sure this has been discussed and is somewhere on this site I could axcess. But if I was sharp enough to figger that out, I could manage my pics without help too.

Have some pics in "my pictures" I need to resize so I can post them here.

Just figured out how to post stuff here today and took way to long just to download from my digital to someplace I could find them. Stuff I did post was already the right size but the new stuff isn't.

I have Office 2003 and a HP Photosmart C3150 all in one printer/scanner with its software.

When ever I plug in my camera "SeaLife Land and Sea" a "Ulead" program pops up. It usually won't do what I want and I down load into a HP program from another list that pops up.

So first how do I resize what I got, and second how to I symplify getting pictures to my pictures?

I usually down load to the HP, then send them to myself then save in my pictures.

Again type slow:D

Thanks,

Tom

One of the easiest ways that I've found to resize in WinXP is to right click on the pic from Windows Explorer and then choose Send To/Mail recipient. You can CTRL click to select multiple files. Windows will then ask if you want to resize the pics before sending. It will open up an email with the resized attachments and you can them save them to a different folder from there.

Hope that helps.

this is by far the easist way to do it. Just download and install the program and then go to the picture and right click and choose "resize pictures". then pick a size and hit go. It will create a copy of your original picture in the size you specified..

FastStone Photo Resizer (http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm) - A free program that you can do batches of photos all at once and have them renamed as well. I use it when downloading all the huge pics off my digital camera.

Another free and easy way is go to google and look up "Irfan view", this is has an easy way to manipulate photos.
Be sure to create many folders within your "my pictures" folder so you can easily sort and organize photos by subject. As you save more photos to your hard drive you will want to find them easier. Family, Jeep, travel or vacation, pets ... the list could be endless as your own interests.
