NICE!

Goes all the way to the floor? Looks like it anyway. Have you added doublers on the bottom side of the floorpan to strengthen the connection to the floor? If you are considering tying it to the frame, John at Hunter can fabricate two adapters to bolt to the floor piece and then tie (via a weld) into the frame... it didn't cost much for this mod when I had it done.

Good JOB!

Joe

Thanks Joe. It does go all the way to the floor and the base plate is welded to the floor. I have a frame tie in kit, just debating if I want to add it in. I still need to add a spreader bar across the dash, then one in the back too,but needed to have it drivable by today.

Which side of your house is this on, the side with 100ft to the next neighbor, or the one with 150ft to the next neighbor?

Use the search on JU, it is the side with 35 ft. If you look at the other pics, you will see that there is that much yard plus some more not in the pic you posted, plus a 2 car driveway seperating our houses.....

Looks nice!

Can you give some details about the installation?

I bought a TNOR cage a few years ago, and still don't have it installed - mainly because I didn't know anyone who could install it for me.

Now, I'm up in Michigan, and finally have someone who'll help me out with it.

I'd like to give him some more info about the process involved in getting it in place.

How much time did it take you to get your cage installed? How did you go about the installation?

I figure the process basically involves cutting the holes in the dash for the bars to go through, then doing a dry fit, tack welding things into place, then removing the cage and welding things up tight, then re-installing the cage and doing the final weld to the factory roll bar? Is that it? Or am I way off?

Also, how did you go about figuring out the location of the holes in the dash? And, what did you use to cut the holes out?

How difficult was it to re-route the A/C ducting?

Any other advice you have would be most helpful. As I said, I've got the same kit and I'll probably be installing it (hopefully) sometime this spring/summer - when it finally warms up a bit!

Also, what did you do, if anything, to tie the windshield to the new cage? I was thinking that the old tie ins could somehow be used from the factory bars. But, I'm not quite sure.

And, does TNOR now sell a frame tie-in kit? Or did you buy that somewhere else?

do you think you could post some pictures of where the bars come down to the floor? I'm curious as to how much room it leaves around the clutch area on the driver's side.
