lance has been helping me all night with questions about lockers armor racks axles lifts tires and everything else.

so i think ill be running 35's now.

if anyone running 35's with the bushwacker pocket flares on a 4''(or so) lift?

i like the flares and 35's would be nice but im concerned that i wont be able to fit them w/o cutting away the flare mounts using a RE 3.5'' lift.

im in no way against cutting i just like flares.
i will cut as far as humanly possible as long as the flair holds solidly.

anyone running this setup?
thanks again to lance and all who have helped me through the last few days.
im 90% sure of my plan at this point.

Worst case just add a body lift that should clear the flares. But I think you need to look at how they mount, and the way they look, not sure but you may loose some clearence the way those flares are designed.

The bushwackers have a pretty bad reputation on ROF and a few other places. If you wheel them and run into things they will crack, too many turns, etc.

Do you plan on wheeling the harder trails ? If you do, save your money.

I have the pocket flares... They cover almost all 12.5" inches of tire width. If you are going to rock crawl, I would say pass on them. If you wanna "rock crawl" in tight places, then definitely not. I got mine cause I use my jeep for hunting, mudding, travelling considerable distanses up north & offroad and when there is mud/inclement weather, they keep my windows clean so I can see. They are not for everyone and will no doubt in time be hit on something and have to come off. At that time I will go to tube fenders and rear corners, both with welded tube flares...

X2!!! Go tube or go home as far as rocks are concerned.

tube like steel flares welded to body?

i want something to keep windows clean and keep it form throwing rocks at itself.

i like the pocket look.
i want to crawl but at the same time i plan to be very careful.
i dont need to break of damage anything.

advice on fenders?

These are poison spyder flares, they are welded to the crusher corners, not to the tub. The come in 3in. and 6in versions. Check them out.

Yeah, the Poison Spyder ones are what I am getting. You can get them with defferent flare widths to cover the tires.

Yeah, Poison Spyder Flares (6") hold up well. I hit all four of them when I rolled in Moab. Just scratched them:

The soft top and windshield didn't do so well though......

It just takes forever to get them!

If you are looking for flares just for looks I would avoid the rocks.

The heavy tube flares will go a long way toward saving the rest of your rig. Maybe even add a front loop to protect your hood line too like on the front of wayco

i kinda like the look of the sheet metal on the front in front of the wheel though...
