Diffrences in the 2.4 and 2.5??

OK So My jeep never came with a/c so I have a big empty spot on my belt system of my little baby 2.4 litre and wanted to run on board air from a stock a/c compressor. When I finally found a place that sold them for the 2.4 it was 309 for reman and 490 for a new one:eek::eek: Well for that much I should just buy a viair system, my question is will a 2.5 a/c compressor fit on a 2004 2.4l motor? The pt cruiser and dodge neon compressors bring up diffrent part numbers is what the napa guy told me wich means they most likely will not bolt up? Any help would be appreciated gents, or any other ideas for an inexspensive on board air system!

buy one from the junkyard and make your own bracket
You will still end up spending $ for all the parts you need to make it work

The one Phenomenal has in the Dodge is....Phenomenal!!!! It really works awesome and you can build it cheaper than that unit you are looking at. It also put out enough air for tools and without the oil problems....ask him for Pics!!
