Hello, I am the newest of the new members but a long time supporter. I have a comment that senior members and yourself may or may not be interested in.
I love the new site set up. But it took me three days and maybe 15 attempts to register. Three people assisted me. All because of the color coded six digit numbers to be copied, near the end of the process. I know who you are and wanted to be registered so I was persistent.
It is my suggestion that the color coding be eliminated and just solid colors be used.1 in 12 people in the U.S. are suffering from some kind or degree of color blindness.
When we serf and come across a web site with all dark colors we can not see a thing so we skip that site, we can not read it. I am sure you have spent as a group lots of time and money to attract members. This information may be helpful. All of the rest of the things I have worked with on this site has been flawless. This is not a complaint
Good jbp guys and gals.

I'm not the webmaster.... but I do run a site of my own, so I know this problem!

It's probably the vBullitin bot screener code thats in color. It probably came that way with the website software. Some of the more complicated bots will read the graphic if its colors are too easy to read. It has to be enabled or thousands of post bots would spam the site. There is upgrades available for some BBS softwares, but dont know about vBullitin.

Glad you got in. Enjoy!

Yeah, Captcha is a pain in the butt but unfortunately has become a necessary evil because of the reasons Allen stated. :(

Hi there Tom. Glad you got signed up, but unfortunately the others are right. To my knowledge of vBulletin there is no way for us to change this option. I suppose we could write a little script that would enable us to weed out any spammers by automatically shutting down any username that signed up and tried to post within 30 seconds or so. Otherwise the only way for us to monitor the validity of new members is to manually approve each one. And we have way too many people signing up these days to accomodate that. :D

Thank you for the comments though. If there is anything we can do to help with this we will definitely look into it.
