Ok I truely have a dumb question.
I already have a 2 in lift on my xj and I am wanting to go up another 2 inches. I already have 2 in spring spacers to go in the front but my question is for the rear leafs would 2 inch shackles lift me up 2 inches to match the front?
Or should I get a 2 inch aal of a 2in lift block?
I would like to get revolver shackels for the rear for the added droop but do they come it a 2in shackle?
I just dont know what to do.

2" longer shackles only give you aprox. 1" of lift due to the fact that you are only moving one side of the spring. You don't want to go with 4" extended shackles as that would probably compromise some stability, not to mention sticking down really far. Revolver shackles are one of those ideas that might not quite live up to their intent. They will give you great RTI ramp scores but probably will do more harm than good on the trail. I have never used them on my jeeps but have seen them in action on different friends rigs. People usually end up getting rid of them. I would talk to several current users before I ponied up the money. Blocks will get you the height you desire but come with thier own set of drawbacks! If you are getting any axle wrap now it will get considerable worse by adding leverage to the axle. Add a leafs work great especially with older jeeps. If the leaf springs are fairly new it might make the back end too stiff. On jeeps with broken in springs I've had great success getting a small amount of lift and actually making the jeep ride better. A good combination for you might be to go with a long soft aal and the 2"'' extended shackle. The two combined will probably put you in the ballpark of were you want to be.
Hope this helps.

I have to agree with Pierre. With my shop, I have run across alot of people who have used or the Revolover shackles. I know far more poeple who have run them and taken them off and then those that have kept them for more than a year.

Kevin,
The lift shackle will put you up 1.75 inches. should be sufficient.. It will also help the suspension work better. unlike a lift block wich will just cause axle wrap. Revolvers will actually only lift an XJ .75 inches. Most times no lift is offered, some times the vehicle is lowereed using the revolvers. just depends on the style and design at the time. An add-a-leaf will help for a little while but will begin to sag after some wheeling use.. Shackle is the best option at the moment..

Thank you all for your help and info I really appreciate. I am going to go with the 2 inch shackles. I was also told that where the front of the spring bolts up you can cut the bottom off of that and flip the front shackle over and bolt it back up and gain about .75-1 inch of lift there, has anybody ever heard of this or done this?
