Antique ox yokes were discovered in an old hacienda far into the state of Guanajuato in Old Mexico where they had been retired from their years in the field and fashioned into hat racks in the hacienda’s stables. $50.00

Many years ago, in the 1920’s and before, copper tubs such as this were used for soaking the week’s laundry in hot soapy water. Long before the age of washing machines, these copper tubs were a common sight on Mondays which were designated as “wash day.” Set $35.00

Interested, but it has to be in POOR condition for my intended purpose. But willing to take a look and make a deal if it works for me.

Tubs are in WAY to good of shape for my intened use.

The ox yoke might work. How long are they in inches?

I have a very old table of similar construction.

The legs and supports underheath are yokes, maybe oxen yokes.

The top of the table is a very old large door held together with large metal pieces of brass, bronze or steel or something but very crude in construction.

How would I find out what it is worth?

Thanks,

you could do a search on ebay or just on the net and you might find some usefull info. thier value will depend on how many people want it at the time you sell it.
I have put nice stuff up for sale, sometimes it dont sell, but sell it again in a few days and it might go very well....it is a mad mad mad mad mad world out there.

Are the wash tubs solid copper and painted on the inside? I'll take the tubs if they are copper. Let me know.

They are copper on the outside but the inside is galvanized (sp) metal the copper forms a lip at the tip to hold the metal in the tub from what it looks like to me.
