It looks like we are under assault everywhere. The people wanting to
close YOUR trails are better funded, better organized and have friends in high
places. We must truly unite if we are going to save our trails.

8 DAYS LEFT TO COMMENT !!!!!!!!

1,800 miles could be closed in Eldorado National Forest
Under the Route Designation Program, the forest service is proposing to close
over 1,800 miles of mostly dirt roads to any motorized vehicle traffic. This
includes street legal vehicles, as well as motorcycles and ATVs. If you have
ever driven off of the pavement in the Eldorado National Forest, most likely
one of the roads you have been on is going to be closed. There are approximately
3,200 miles of forest system roads, with the map the Forest Service is
proposing, we will lose 1,800 miles of those.

By now I hope everyone has heard about the DEIS going on in every forest in
the Nation. Eldorado national Forest (where the Rubicon and several other
trails are located) is in the forefront of putting this devastating plan into
effect. So we need to stop this NOW!!!

I'm gonna get the whole fandamily to sign it this weekend....probably should contact other forums like the bronco clubs, etc, and get them involved. I'll let one of the bronco club members know about this on Monday if he hasn't already heard.

Awesome Amber! I saw a lot of different clubs represented in the signature list: Pirate4x4, Hemit4x4, etc., but if you know of others hook them up by all means!

You guys totally rock! From the time that I first saw the petition to now it has gone from 1200 to almost 1600. . .

I hope the we can also put this much energy into our local issues: Coconino and Table Mesa. There are Land Grabs going on all around us, and unless we stand up for what we believe, they will win! I wish they were all as easy as signing a petition, but we can at least write letters and or emails to make a difference.

Thanks for spreading the word on these issues.
