What the hell is this thread all about. Mike, the guy
misunderstood what you were trying to say on the pricing and you call
him an idiot and question his ability to read and understand simple
english - lighten up fella this is a group thing and we are not all
as quick to the punch as you.
Stu, basically I am floored by this. You openly critique anothers
ability to understand yet you can't even spell buy correctly in your
post "Hell, you can barely even by the new grade 8 bolts and lock
washers for that price.". Like any idiot I guess....

Both places, in my opinion. In the rear, one is more likely to peel
open the cover when sliding the diff over a rock. In the front, one is
more likely to hit something head on and damage the ring gear. Of
course, changing the direction of the vehicle causes these same two
issues to occur at opposite ends of the vehicle.

Over time, I've peeled more rear covers than I've dented front ones.

Depending on the location of the reed switch and the relay used this
could foil a car thief. There is an advantage in having the car stop
soon after the thief starts it, he will believe it is broken and not
wanting to draw attention trying to fix it, will leave it where it
dies. Just make sure you use a relay the will stay closed and not
overheat. It would be bad to hit a bad bump in your jeep and have the
relay open.

I put mine in the front as I usualy drive much faster forward than in
reverse. I know the argument that I should know where the thing is in
the front, but I believe that it will be the unseen item that gets me
not the big rock I am slowing trying to manuver over. I would realy
like a better one for the rear with both avenues of approach coverd.

I talked to Toys by Troy and they have the design for this complete but

I put mine in the front as I usualy drive much faster forward than in
reverse. I know the argument that I should know where the thing is in
the front, but I believe that it will be the unseen item that gets me
not the big rock I am slowing trying to manuver over. I would realy
like a better one for the rear with both avenues of approach coverd.

IMO the front is needed most. I have a 4X Dr cover on my front, and it has
done its job...at least 3-4 times. I have never hit the cover on the rear
