This is why I love jeeps. Low speed impact. $4,000 worth of damage on the Cadi. Maybe $200 on the Cherokee.

Was one of these your car? Are they both at different times?
I had a guy pull out into traffic on McClintock, in the rain, and without looking. Several of us scramble to avoid, but no luck. I slammed into a Cutlass Ciera with my YJ. I totalled his car, pushing the rear bumper all the way to his rear tires. He had no trunk left. I bent my stock bumper and scratched some paint.... :D

Unfortunately the newer the vehicle the more damage it's going to sustain... for various reasons. One reason is crumple zones... vehicles designed to crumple to absorb energy to protect the occupants... then of course, there's all that plastic.

No, neither of them were my vehicles. The Cadi was a customers car and the Jeep was a trade-in we just got in :eek:. Fortunately, I was not the driver of either but watched it all go down and couldn't do anything to stop it.
