I am about to purchase a TT...

Couple of quick Q's before I head this route...

I have a Unlimited Rubi, with a 2" budget lift...

1) Will I need a BL?

2) Will I need a new DS? (I am also purchasing some RUCAs)

3) Do you think my Skid Row Engine/Trans skid will work with the Jeep Medic?

It is a good deal so I plan on buying, I just need to know what to expect in terms of actually installing.

Thanks.

03-06 Belly Up Skid

The Jeep Medic Fabrication 03-05 Belly Up skid is 2 1/2” tall made out of ¼” steel. It is computer cut then bent using a 200 ton press. Skids will fit the both transmissions.

Skid clearance gained is 2”.

Features:
• Three ¼” steel gussets welded in place for added strength. One in the front, one in the middle, and one in the rear.
• Five ½” holes for water and dirt drainage.
• 2"+ hole for transfer case drainage.
• Bracket for mounting locker compressor in same location but 2” higher.
• Powder Coated w/ Black Poly Peal
• Pre-drilled for the engine skid.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

You will need at least a 1” body lift and a 1” motor mount lift for easy bolt on installation.

General rule, if you have any lift over 2 ½” you will more than likely need a Double Cardon type rear driveshaft and rear upper adjustable control arms.

If your set on keeping your skid row skid plate, just line it up in place after the TT to see if it will work. It may require an new front mount, but that shouldn't be hard to take care of.
Keep in mind that you will also have to drill or make new mounts for you air locker pumps, but again that should be pretty easy.

I am running the Nth degree stuff. The only problem i have had so far is the bushing that goes from the transfercase shifter to the transfercase busted and left me in 4hi till Arizonaxj helped me out. Otherwise it is nice because you don't need a bodylift. However they do say to use a longer driveshaft and upper rear controlarms. If you need a bodylift I have teraflex 1inch and JKS mm 1inch lift. Both are new in the box and at a great price. PM me if interested.
