I joined the club a week before the accident. He PMed me a couple times helping me find the right person in charge for my first ever run, up to sunflower. Seemed like a nice guy, wish I could have met him.

Just an FYI for everyone heading to the Memorial Run...
Walt and I took a Road Trip to Tucson this morning
to meet Jim/AZDesertRhino... I bought the GPS System
for Walts Birthday Present...
Back to the FYI... there is MEGA CONSTRUCTION on
I-10... so if you are heading up there for the run you
may want to leave a bit earlier than you thought just
to make sure you get there with enough time to BS
with everyone...
Nice meeting you Jim... Walt has already installed
and updated the software... and he was messing with
it on the way home...yep... he watched my speed
most of the way home   :D
Thanks again Jim... see you next Saturday!!!

Looking forward to seeing a bunch of folks from Phx down to commerate Roger's life and enjoying a run in his honor.

Just head east on Tanque Verde Road, you'll pass Houghton Road about a mile or so east of Houghton is the Circle K on the left hand side of the road. It is set back from the road a bit so you almost pass it before you see it. There is a dirt lot next to the Circle K where everyone will be meeting up and airing down at.

For those that don't know Tucson well, a little information!! :D
We will be meeting at the following Circle K:
11271 E Tanque Verde Rd, Tucson, AZ
(520) 749-4658
Link to Map (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory=&cat=&address=11271+E+Tanque+Verde+Rd&city=Tucson&state=az&zipcode=)
Due to road construction best to get off of I-10 at Ina Rd and follow the map in from there. There are other ways in but I think this is the easiest if you don't know Tucson well. IMHO!!

Had a very good time on a great trail. Met some great people. We have only been wheeling about 9 months but that has got to be one of the nicest trail runs around. Chivo Falls was very nice. Thanks to TOR for taking us along on the run.

Thanks to Rox and Walter, French Chili and Dad for making the trip from Phoenix to help with the Memorial Run. Roger was always on one of the two trails here in town when he wasn't looking for a good time up in FJ. He always liked showing off our trails around Tucson to our northern guest, I guess for all of us their like hidden gems. Thanks to Walter and Rox for the great slide show, we sometimes forget how really pretty our trails can be since we're out there several times a month, Thanks again for showing us what their like thru a new set of eyes.
Anytime anyone wants to go on a run to Chivo Falls or Charouleau Gap just drop me a line, Helen and I are always ready to do those trails. Or any of the others you might of heard of in the area.
Lonnie
Thank you everyone that went and even those that just wished they could go.
It was a great run with a nice bunch of people. (as usual :) )
Special thanks to TOR for all of their hard efforts and planning. The metal "LOWTECH" sign cut with the water-jet cutter was really a touch of class that anyone that appreciates mechanics, can appreciate.
