I'm wanting to apply a garage floor sealer to my concrete floor that I have outside. I understand most products will yellow as the sun attacks it over time. Has anyone had good results with a product that will not yellow due to exposure to the sun? If it yellows, does it not also lift off the concrete over time or when you drive on it with hot tires?

Does anyone have a recommendation of a store that sells these kinds of products or will apply it?

Note: I know that Home Depot has a commercial grade of floor covering but it yellows - I've seen it applied at my friends garage - yellowed in just 6 months after application.

Thanks in advance.

Home depot has the Rust-Oleum stuff, $65 a box. I am looking to do this. The box says it is a new formula, for hot tires, discoloration, etc. I am also doing the gloss box, also Rust-Oleum. It is $80 for a high gloss, protective coating. It has a new formula too, for Hot tires, slide/skid preventer, etc... I am looking forward to this as I cannot afford to have a company do it...

Talk to ben.

If you do it the right way you should be 250.00 deep in materials. Anything cheaper and you are either buying in bulk or not doing a professional job that includes ALL steps to ensure a quality epoxy coating for the life of your garage floor.

Ben charges 600.00 including materials to do it if you don't want the hassle. If you can wait and want to come over on the 1st and 2nd, he will be doing it to our new garage and can show you. Then based on how you like the finished product you can decide.
