I got this a couple of days ago. Interesting graphics. Who are they trying to get to attend the meetings?

If motorized travel is already banned from the area, why the images?

??????????????????????? nothing is banned or closed as yet in the Table Mesa area other than the northeast corner of the Maricopa County Park (Lake Pleasant) along with a portion of Dept. of Reclamation lands just north of the park. I don't agree with the closure but it's part of the game and our own people causing the abuse simply and openly ASKED FOR IT. We CANNOT continue "playing in the mud" or "riding/driving" wherever we please. There is a lot of cultural stuff in this area along with the abuse to the resources themselves.
If your comment was something other than this specific closure I can't answer.

Frankly I'm glad they closed off that entrance to the lake. It was a friggin mess down there. None of us really wheel down there and it creates way too much traffic on the access road to the river and our trails.
Joe and I sat down there one day for about an hour eating lunch and watched the outright stupidity that was going on. People flying on quads and dumping them, full sized 4wd vehicles hauling arse thru the puddles and such. Just imagine all of the junk and trash you have all seen inside the lake land and then imagine when the river is running and the lake is rising. Where was all of that stuff supposed to go? Right into the lake and when we start affecting that kind of environment then it's time to make a change.

If you notice these meetings are about what is happening inside the Aqua Fria Conservation Area. Not what is happening outside. What's happening outside the conservation area has been discussed in great detail in other threads.
My purpose in posting this was to provide an example of how the Aqua Fria Conservation Area is being presented to the public, or at least those who are interested in the area. This meeting announcement is very negative.
