So...Im still not at a place to be able to afford and ARB in the rear of my Heep...and the Aussie is getting real old daily driving it with the 5 spd....Ive mastered it, but just tired of dealing with it everyday.

Im considering just pulling it out and reinstalling the spiders...and leaving the front locked for wheeling...and just scaling back on harder runs til I can go selectable.

What are your thoughts...basically...Im the one that has to live with it, and make the final decision...but wanted some input and opinions.

Is the factory limited slip the only limited slip available..?? other than a Detroit soft locker..?? Which Id just as soon wait for an ARB than spend $500 for one of them...

My Powetrax No-Slip is 100% less noticable then a standard Aussie or LockRight locker.... http://www.powertrax.com/noslip.html

Just a thought....

If memory serves it was about $100.00 or so more than a standard Lock Right...

If your Aussie is saleable then you could always put those funds towards your new decision.... (That's how I ended up with a new Warn M8000) :D

I have a factory style limited slip with carrier (Spicer) same as factory jeep $350 at 4wheelers..thats without a discount:rolleyes:

I got a eaton E-locker for the front retails $750 and no airlines or compressors needed (cheaper and better than arb) www.4wd.com sell them;)

Why do you think it is better than ARB. Oh yea cause you own one. How does it work? Have you had any problems with it yet?

Aurburn makes good limited slip, alond with eaton. I think the detroit you are thinking of is the true trac I had one installed for little bit in the front. The only bad thing about Tru-trac is the tires have to spin to lock the other wheel. In rock crawling sometimes tire spinning is bad.

I own one yes...still in box. The new JK uses them as well and oem gm products..to be oem the standards are very high for longvety and durability. is it better than ARB...NOPE...Cheaper and less to break!

Not only does it not make the noise, but it's much smoother when engaging and disengaging which is the biggest complaint drivability wise with the standard Lock Right or Aussie Locker...

I had to learn how to drive my jeep again after installing one. When I shift gears I have to turn little bit to the left. Every now and they it will disengage and put me in another lane. My wife drove it once and said she will never drive my jeep again. It works awesome off road though.

Jason,

I think this caused the confusion..

I didn'y pay $750 and with a ARB $650+pump,lines and install and Yes 99% of Jeepers use them..Doesn't mean they are better nor worse..just like OX..different and in my opinion less to go wrong.

Auburn..I have read countless threads full of problems...Why would I want those types of problems???
