I have my seats on the CJ tracks right now that tie into my cage. Doing this the seat sit high and I'm afraid that when I weld in my diagonal bars I will hit my head. Removing the tracks will give me about an inch more clearance.
How may of you have stationary seats? Is there any advantage?
I have no back seat, so no reason to move them.
thanks

Remove tracks, and bolt the seat on down to where you find it most comfortable..
now remember... if your wife/girlfriend or friend wants to drive it... no more adjustments.

Mount it solid! Iam lucky that my wife and I have the same length legs. I would mount it solid even if we didn't.
