This was posted in a different thread and some people thought it might be good to post up here also. So that anyone new to Jeeps can have an idea of the steering and front end components of your rig. Or so you can follow along with other conversations on the board in regards to these items.

Tie rod spares are cheap and easily stowed...pretty good investment. (IMO)

x2 unless you have Travis and Jeff in your Jeep run. See the following link for actual pictures of a tie rod bent like a U-Joint.

You know something funny? I have seen ALL these parts get destroyed on one run or another.:o

Ive destroyed almost all these parts in 1 way or another other than the sway bar links probably because ive never ran one :D

But if these guys take it easy and have a good spotter - and also go on trails their rigs can handle they will be much less likely to break ALL of this stuff :D

Yeah get an extra tie rod I have already bent 2 and I am on my third after owning my jeep for a little over a year.
