Okay, it would appear that there are a lot of "Buckeyes" here in this group.
What do you say we try to get all the Buckeyes together?
We could do a run or BBQ or meet and greet or something.
Heck, maybe we could combine them all into one!!!!!

Oh you guys kill me.......Come on now....
Yes, a Buckeye is a nut. However, all of us GREAT people from the beautiful state of OHIO are also lovingly referred to as Buckeyes.......I know that you all have heard of our football team at least once or twice in the past few years :D
You know that old saying "tough nut"? well, where do you think that came from? It was coined by those that had the honor of dealing with, working with, etc...someone from Ohio, a BUCKEYE..........

maybe a little game of poker before the game too...or am I an old timer and activities named don't interest Buckeyes anymore.

I really like the idea of getting together on a Sunday to watch some football, eat some wings, and throw back a few cold ones. Good times

ok guys and gals, new poll vote needed. Game and wings at a jeepers place or a sports bar and grill, and if it's the bar which one would be suitable. I think a mid point would be best.
My place is open for the meet and greet if needed. And there is a few good sports bars in my mid point neighborhood. Chuy's or Famous Sams have several screens, cheap eats and a lot of room

Hmmm, I wonder if there is such a thing as JEEP FOOTBALL?????

I am from Steubenville, and probably the biggest Steelers fan there is. I think we should all get together for a game (browns / Steelers). Rob (etropic), is from Cleveland and is a hater of the Steelers ... look at his signature.

This little get together might have a heck of a turn out. Keep seeing others pop in to voice there football opinions, think we caught their interest. Yhe club ever have a meet and greet over a ball game before?
Hey, anyone have the Football schedule for this year? When do the Browns and Steelers play? It's been awhile since I was into football, do the Browns still have the "Dog Pound" in the end zones? The fans used to really rattle the opposing team by throwing milkbones at em. I remember when Art Model sold the Browns team. Cleveland got to keep the name and form a new team. My sister told me they had hung a dummy they made up to look like Art, in the middle of the city.

Hey if there is any type on get together for Ohio I am all in. As for B1tchburg people they better not show up!!! With any amount of booze in me and I will lash out on those people. Let me know when and i will try to get off work. Dogs play out here Dec 2nd i think. Already got plans for that day. That means the other team has to play them too just not sure where.

At the old stadium, the dog pound was directly next to the entrance where the players came on/off the field. They'd throw dog biscuits and batteries at the opposing team all the time. There was one big incident with the batteries that I remember... a couple people had to go to the hospital.

batteries, I never heard about that. When I lived there it all in fun, no one was hurt..sorry to hear there are some rotten folks. I remember some old nick names for the team:
Cleveland Clowns
Cardiac Kids
What was that quarterbacks name that when he was forced to run with ball he looked like a darn chicken, his legs just didn't

ok, I think we should not wait for the Browns/Steelers game (will meet for this game too, a must). Lets get together soon so we can growl a little. So WHAT SAY WE DO A QUICK TRAIL RUN JUST TO WAVE AT EACH OTHER. Then do a saloon/game plan. how's about this weekend, suppose to be cooler, may be a little rain. what side of town are most of us buckeyes/buckeye friendly jeepers in? Box canyon, Martinez canyon??? or west side??

Speaking of BBQ, I'm goint to Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse this weekend for my rib fix. I've already hit Skyline Chili a couple of times too.

That's odd. Joe Louis (The Brown Bomber) lived in Detroit. Hence the Joe Louis Arena.

I haven't heard the word Berea in 22 years, brings back a lot of memories. Berea is one of the first suburbs off Cleveland. All of the phone prefixes started BER- oh, the old rotary dial phones, geez I must be older than I feel.
I remember summer vacations from school, as a little kid I would spend a good deal of summer at the "frog pond" these ponds are all gone, now area is ramp to hiway. ... the good old days.... slow and kicked back ...
used to play hide and seek and kick the can for entertainment as a kid, betcha kids now a days know nothing about games like that...... ah the good old days.
